Barn Doors for the Tractor Shed

it's about time to add some doors to the new tractor shed extension. Winter will be here in no time and the tractor wants to stay warm...
I'm adding sliding doors to not lose any of the door opening width on either side. Also, the shed floor sits a little below grade so doors that swing to the outside were not really an option

Nice work. I too modified my tractor shed door. I enlarged an existing metal shed roll-up door entrance. It was a tough task and it was sweltering heat but it appears you too had hot weather to deal with. Again, nice work. 👍🏽🙂

Throw some rivets in the corrugated sheets and you can get rid of the duct tape

I have some black metal roofing I'm planning on using as an insert. My concern is water collecting across the bottom in the dado'ed cut. Any thoughts on sealing? Closed cell foam? Epoxy? Drain holes in bottom? PS... cutting metal roofing with a circular saw works best with an old blade mounted backwards.

thank you for your comment. I thought about that as well. then I thought good ventilation is better than trying to seal if off. even with epoxy, caulking and alike, there is always a chance water will get in and then it will cause more damage if it cannot easily get out. Living in Texas means it will get wet from time to time but it will usually dry a day later. Also, I used cedar wood which is somewhat rot resistent. Drain holes are for sure a good idea.

Where did you find the aluminum tracks and hardware, rollers etc? I've tried the usual hardware stores, and they don't seem to have an arrangement like that. Any thoughts?

the ones I used are from HomeDepot. Search homedepot.com for 202675303 Since then I built other sliding doors (no video) with a similar but more heavy duty rail system from Tractor Supply Company
