Still good to see so many subs getting involved. I think your Ferrari vids are great, your personality shone through and the addition of Chris was a perfect match for the channel. Due to spending 20 days in hotel quarantine in last month (work related) I've been able to catch up on all your vids, what a saviour they have been so thank you. Brilliant channel and excellent work! I'm out of a job in 2 1/2 yrs and plan on doing a bit of what you do when I leave (previous experience), watching you two is giving me the itch to get started now. Keep up the good work and thanks 👍

Lovely car . Monsoon car hoods in sussex do lovely replacement hoods . Did one for my saab 93 aero convertible . Wernt cheap but excellent quality and fit . Cant wait for the next installment on this .

I would paint the underside, future proof it. Was extend its life too, get rid of all the rust and some fresh stone chip protection

Congratulations on the 200k achievement, you have earned the weekend, now enjoy it with your nearest and dearest. The Golf deserved the work you are doing after surviving this far, but it has been quite a lot of work just getting the parts together. The engine sounded reassuringly good, after sitting so long, engines hate being left for too long. The way the job is going, this could almost end up being a heritage quality item, though the bodywork has its odd demand still to put on your time. It should earn a price that recognises its rising rarity value.

Chris, your channel is a genuine pleasure to watch. I loved the Cabriolet Clipper's when they came out, and IMO, the Mk. 1 GTI was the best of the lot. It's a great car to restore, and I know you and Rob will do a fantastic job!

Used to have a 2 door red mk 2 , got rid of it for scrap in 2006. I really regret it now. All the memories are flooding back watching this. Prices are through the roof and rising.

It was a fantastic drive in the golf. The other one was the maestro, once I had the cpu taken out and added manual choke, it was a very good runner and a good work horse.Very underestimated car.

This turning into a very nice car! I remember driving a red metallic Golf cab in 1988 or so, must’ve been brand new. Helped a friend who drove his 1956 beetle to a Bug run. I think I drove the more comfortable car but astonished how the old beetle caught up with the traffic in 70 mph!!
