Would you recommend the Ford KA as a first car? Have been looking at keeping costs low, ie running costs, repair, insurance and road tax. Would mostly use for 30 min commutes in small city / occasional motorway driving. Thanks!

It is a good all round car, doesn’t feel too small on the motorways or too big in town

Regarding the sound system, is there an aux input in the car?

A bit late, but yes. There is a 3.5mm input jack in the lower part of the center console. It is activated by pressing the CD button on the radio until AUX is shows i the display.

How did the KA feel on dual carriageway areas?? I’m looking into this for my first car as it seems the cheapest option and a good little car but I do have to make carriageway runs 2 times a week maximum and I wouldn’t like to feel underpowered or push the car too much and as you can tell I do not know a lot about cars. Thank you 😊

The KA is a great little car, im sure you would be ok. But if you are unsure just ask the dealer if you could whip it up the dual carriageway or motorway just to be sure before you buy it

I recently had to sell my little KA as I changed job & had to travel Dual carriageway, and felt overwhelmed by the Lorries & vans, etc. A great little car for local travel, but wouldn't recommend motorways & dual roads, was quite sad to see it go.

I felt like my KA was a popping cork at high speeds and really didn't hold the road well on dual carriage ways and motorways. However the cornering was second to none and tight. Parking was so easy. The gear box was great and it felt like a joy stick. Loved it being in the dashboard. I could switch gears with my index fingure. My only concern was that underneath this car was rusting as mine developed an oil problem. I was shocked to see under the car was all brown with rust when it was at a local garage. @@richardgreene4725

What would you say is better a mk6 fiesta or that ka found the ka quiet cramped my self

The Ford KA is cramped especially if you have a front seat passenger both in Mark 1 and Mark 2 KA's. Using the hand brake and the gears you feel cramped as your passenger impinges on your space. However, the drive is really fun. Handles corners like a dream and parking is a doddle. The boot space is useless. Very good on insurance and road tax due to stop start. Fair on fuel consumption although the Vauxhall Corsa is much better. There is no glove box which is annoying. It's a good starter car for new drivers @@BarrieCrampton

Not the best place to park...just before the junction of a roundabout......

Actually it is the best place to park as that road is a dead end and there is hardly any traffic at all except for dog walkers, but thanks for watching 👍
