Synopsis:

I can't help but find it hilarious how every woman seems to have a sob story about an abusive ex. Either most men are evil psychopaths or women select these men themselves because ANY kind of excitement is better than the horror of dating a boring nice guy.

Season 2 gives so much depth to characters like Fuches and Sally. I love Barry and Hank of course, but on rewatches I feel like I love Sally and Fuches even more. They’re full of contradictions, but that makes them fascinating to me

The whole concept of "my truth", I've never been fully on board with that being used to talk about situations in reality. People like to warp memory to be in their favour so when people say "my truth" it just seems to automatically be not 100% truthful to how things actually played out and this episode plays on that theme so well.

The whole scene with Sally wanting Barry to play her abusive husband reminds about the show 911 and specifically a character called Maddie, who's also in an abusive relationship. The actress portraying Maddie asked for her real life husband to play the part of her abusive partner in the show, as she said she would completely trust him in those very hard scenes. I guess I understand the feeling, but it still feels like it would be a lot.

You should react to *The Twelve Monkeys* . Although Brad Pitts character ( who is called Jeffrey Goines) isn't the main character in the film he is still really interesting. He starts off in a mental institution then becomes the leader of an animal rights group called *The Army of the twelve Monkeys* Jeffrey Goines also gives an interesting speech about the evils of capitalism and consumerism while he's in the institution. Some film critics have described Jeffrey Goines as *Tyler Durden gone mad*

Not necessarily. The 9th step is “made amends to those we had harmed EXCEPT when to do so would cause more harm to them or others.” So his sponsor would’ve either: A) had him make a living amends aka just change the behavior and be the best person you can be going forward. B) had him write her a letter or call her to ask if she would be willing to hear his amends. You’d never just bum rush someone you physically assaulted with an amends.
