I don’t,she looks like she’s the same age as Iris and Joe is attached to both Barry and Iris, he calls them his kids, if the writers are going to make her that in Barry’s life then she needs to develop a relationship with Iris too although they should’ve done that from time she came into Joes life, Iris doesn’t even interact with her little sister Jenna.I always said Joe should not have become a father again at 50.

Cecile is the most cartooned thing since the cameo petty thief with a lasergun. Chester quickly follows after but he gets away with it because "that's how nerds socialize".

Shouldn’t in theory, the speed force healing, counteract any aging? I mean the whole point of the speed force is that it defuse logic and time. Aging is a part of time

I'm not an expert in the speed force by any means, but as far as I know, the speed force does give him rapid regeneration but that doesn't just straight up stop him from aging. It's not like he'll live until the end of time unless he gets killed.

I feel like this makes sense..... In a way. Obviously, if your body deteriorates in any way, it won't be able to function like how it used to, and the same would go with powers. Like with phasing or wind arms, his joints would be too stiff to vibrate at such a high velocity.

@@saigotheanimator1098 well, in Legends of Tomorrow, the legends always rely on Gideon for assistance, nearly every episode has a voice of Gideon. The Flash on the other hand, Gideon is always mastered by the bad guys, and it is absent for so long. Barry, the creator of Gideon, clearly doesn’t know how to use it properly, from my prospective.

He didn't lose his speed he still had it the gamma ray radiation that he got hit with was aging him at a biological level and Chester even said in the episode the more he keeps using this his speed the faster Barry will age. To the point where Barry was literally told if he used his speed again it could end up killing him.

I liked this episode, thought it was interesting to see, wish it went on for at least like two more episodes, a nice short side plot, it could have been like season 7 where Barry had to monitor his speed usage, I thought that was really cool and it was an interesting way to limit Barry as he has only gotten stronger and faster, it was nice to see a new challenge that forced Barry to be more creative with the speed force, even if I don’t feel it’s full potential was used, it’s also sort of reminiscent of when Barry thought he’d die in crisis, just could have been a moment where Barry comes to terms with aging (death) and what that would look like for him, I mean they kinda did do that but meh, coulda been better

Ikr, yes a speedster slows as they’re body gets older but they still retain their speed and memories because they’re bodies are immune to diseases and sicknesses like Alzheimers, Dementia, Cancer ect. For example Jay was 103 in Young Justice and still taking on New Gods and Aliens

Time in the Speedforce doesn’t work properly and it’s implied that Barry ages at a close to normal rate as in Once And Future Flash his dialogue suggests he thinks/expects people to notice that he looks quite visibly younger than normal when he travels to 2024 (a bit odd considering people aren’t supposed to change much after only 7 years).

This concept is so stupid. Yes a speedster slows down as they get older but they shouldn’t lose their abilities or memories or have any sicknesses like Alzheimers, Cancer, Dementia, Arthritis ect because The Speed Force constantly heals them. For example in Young Justice Jay is 102 years old and remembers the Justice Society, WW2, his family, friends and is still active in the field and fighting New Gods and Aliens.

Everything in his body internally is deteriorating, dying simultaneously overnight. His speed force makes it even worse as it speeds up the process. Also, he aged 30 years overnight, so all the effects of old age during that time, he is feeling it all at once within 24 hours or less. So it's pretty understandable why it's taking such a heavy toll on him.
