Same, just the grotesque way he looks kind of visually insinuates brutal self harm. That alone is already wicked, but his gravely, vicious almost animalistic sounding voice mixed with his intelligent demeanor is the cherry on top.

Idk. It kind of feels like every Joker nowadays tries to top the other in terms of craziness. Why can’t we get a new but not completely new Joker? Like Heath Ledger who kept the roots of the character from the comics and still made something new. Joaquin, Jared and now Barry all seem like they didn’t understand the character and just acted crazy in a weird way. Jared was cringe, Joaquin too realistic and Barry too unstylish. I hate the fact that a comic accurate Joker in terms of acting like Cameron Monaghan gets called too silly or a copy of Ledger, Nicholson or Hamill. People tend to forget that he’s still playing the same character and not every interpretation should be something completely different.

I think it’s better deleted because it kinda just explains everything happening in the movie. It just wouldn’t fit. I’m fine with it being canon but I don’t see how it could naturally work. The movie’s almost 3 hours long, so I don’t think it would’ve helped.

I Agree They Should of just kept the scene in the film and not have removed it at all.

Matt said he left it out because it would have taken away from The Riddler and everyone would have wanted more Joker and focused too much on that. I undoubtedly agree strongly with that. I’m so glad it was just a deleted scene.

they might just let him be an outcast villain in this first trilogy and just let him show up in a few small scenes and then if they decide they are going to do another trilogy or something then with enough story and how much years we’ve gone through this young batman then joker could definitely be a main villain and a huge threat

I don't know what he's getting at by saying " let's keep him human under all of that" the Joker is very human. Lips, hair and skin changes, but he's still all human. No powers or nothing
