@@Chris_Hruska he said burn bits..not a whole burnt pizza. When small spots are charred it usually means the rest of the pizza is cooked really well and crispy.

I’ve always liked it especially on a nice smoked brisket. Some uncultured Karen will probably complain saying it’s burned.

Hes said his system before. High eight and nines are "you should drive way out of your way to go here" and 8-ish is "best place in town." He usually talks up the location and establishment if he is going 8.6+.

@Onyx You need the brick, coal fired ovens to get into the high eights, that's what gives you the black "char" on the bottom. Unless you've had a pie like Pepe's or Sally's it's hard to explain how that changes the whole experience, it takes it to another level.

I would like to think its because they remade it specially for him that he deducted a few points. A typical pie that some random Joe might go in for may not be this thin or this crispy.

@@Unadapted If you don't have the knowhow, it doesn't matter how many times they "remake" it. A pie that looks like that is going to be an 8 even if it's a bit "off". You're not going to go from a 7.3 "football pie" to an 8 no matter how many times you try.

@@jaykay6387 Im not insinuating that this is an establishment that you couldn't find a consistently good slice of pizza. If I'm trying to insinuate anything; it would be that I would hope that each time Dave finds out that a pizzeria remade the pie upon discovering that the customer is Dave, himself, that he would deduct a couple points due to the possibility that a viewer and potential customer may be misled by the review. Either way, doesn't really matter. Lol

Because the old prick at Difara, uses greens from his garden, Marzano tomatoes and organic flour, his cheese is high quality Buffalo mozzarella from Italy..ingredients are top rate..but guys place is so freaking dirty..its a tradeoff.. look at the scissors the guy uses to cut the fresh herbs, they are so rusty.. I'm surprised somebody hasn't gotten tetanus..

Honestly soon as he walks in the door , they make a new one , didn’t you hear they didn’t care if he missed his flight ? Also knowing Dave he likes it extra thin and well done so typically from a business standpoint you would hate to see under a 8.0 so it’s pretty human to try your best for the review

@@Nick-fy7yi of course, but why not send in someone else to pick it up and then he can talk to them after he eats it. It’s just like working in a retail store. If you know a “secret shopper” is there, you are gonna put on your A game to get a great score, but it’s not the same treatment the rest of the public gets.

I grew up around there and ate this pizza for 20 years - it deserves a higher rating than an 8 anyway

I actually eat pizza 5-7 days a week and I love it like that, I don’t review it and I’m not famous so you’re not gonna care or believe me but I work at a pizza place, and I literally love pizza it’s my favorite food just like Dave’s if you could only eat one thing the rest of your life what would it be - the answer for Dave was Pizza and Big Cat said burgers and that is what spawned this channel I’ve watched every single One Bite video ever created

I love Dom n Vinnies! I always tell people, when you order the pie and eat it there it’s an automatic 10! And on Lockwood I used to get Roma’s, not sure if it’s still there. It was pretty damn good too (Capri is my fav on Lockwood). But I’d say A&V is my all time favorite in Yonkers
