It’s a big weekend for the transit system in the Bay Area! I rode this with ​⁠‪@chrisontransit‬!
With two major track closure and service impacts, it will definitely be tough for riders to travel across the bay. Being that said, BART has track closure as crews will begin the process of replacing a series of interlockings between Rockridge, MacArthur, and 19th Street stations. Free buses will replace trains between all these stops, and more weekends will be affected in the later months.
There are three bus bridge routes available for riders. AC Transit is operating its route between 19th St Oakland and Rockridge, while SamTrans is operating between 19th St Oakland and MacArthur, and lastly County Connection operating between MacArthur and Rockridge. With this route, it mainly utilizes Highway 24 and 17th St to drop off point at Broadway & 20th St.
