I think we need to underline the fact that this Revelation talk will be from the perspective of an atheist New Testament scholar, so he could be misleading. So I will take this with a grain of salt. But I generally take everyone's thoughts about the Revelation with a grain of salt, regardless if someone is a Christian or not. Ehrman's point of view might be more interesting though since he is studying the New Testament and he is an atheist. But I would be especially more wary on anti-Christian points of view.

Don’t be so frightened. He teaches history and ancient documents. He leaves the separate field of religious beliefs up to each person, quite willingly. He doesn’t hate people. Which is actually in line with the teachings of Jesus. Pax vobiscum, dude.

I have listened to Bart recently. I also heard some of your Revelation interview with him. Bart comes across as unpersuasive, weak in what he believes, tepid with his counter rebuttals, and generally unimpressive. Maybe it's because he's an agnostic. Skeptics never have a convincing reason for their unbelief.

If his view is like those who think John was writting about events that were happening in his liftime it's not worth it. A simple reading of the end of the book with a new creation should tell it's not a good interpretation.

Hope he's a supporter of the historic preterist view (Revelation is foretelling the destruction of Jerusalem, not the end of the world; with that said, St. John touches on the final resurrection and judgement which, unlike the destruction of Jerusalem, has yet to happen

Sorry but I don't believe in the book of revelation. There are too many pagan symbolism and verses that don't add up at all. I think this book really needs to be questioned because it shouldn't be in the bible.
