Magnifique interprétation du concerto de Bartok. Je suis aussi violoniste et altiste. Ces grands altistes: Yuri Bashmet, Nobuko Imai, Tabea Zimmerman etc. peuvent aller se rhabiller. J'ai adoré votre interprètation. Un granda merci.

The headnote should make clear that Bartok did not finish this Concerto: it was completed and orchestrated by his friend and colleague Tibor Serly, using Bartok's 13 page short score.

A beautiful performance. Fang captures the passion of the work better than anyone else on KZfaq. Unfortunately the camera was in the wrong position and shows her too often from the back.

C'est une prestation particulièrement exceptionnelle que cette altiste virtuose nous fait vivre dans ce concerto de Bartok ; il est dommage que la coda soit précipitée par la soliste au détriment de l'orchestre .

Yes, I hate to see any seats empty at classical venues. Every empty seat is someone missing out, even it it's not the composer's best composition.

Thank you! I currently use a Andrea Guarneri. In this video I used a modern viola made by a Chinese Luthier called Ling Zhenhua.
