So... and what's bad with that? We've got a real musician's performance in accompaniment in BASS section.... so far, no other keyboard can do this... and if other keyboard does, it does it on samples, and there is no feeling of a living musician in it, but in Ketron there is! I haven't heard that the bass sounds better in any other keyboard, but the viewers will judge it for themselves. Best Regards!

First, this is not the keyboard doing something great but the musicians who played the tracks and keyboard only plays the audio files, and it plays it badly. Event has latency every time you start the style with your left hand, using synchro start and stop to play some passages is impossible. Not only that but if you try to do it then the right hand skips notes and slows so much that it struggles to play all the notes you pressed. Not to mention the 4 layers sampling limit, 6 seconds for every sample limit, and rudimentary sound editor, this is some basic stuff that is simply horrendous, so saying how great the keyboard is because it plays few audio files (badly) together is really nonsensical. When I say badly I mean the keyboard falls apart if you go from one style to another, tracks go out of sync, audio loops are not possible to slow more than 10 to 15 percent, even between those numbers the algorithm does not sound good. They could easily give us the option to slow down the loop without preserving the pitch, but they did not. They did not give many basic stuff either. Above all, the design of the interface is horrendous, not enough buttons, then button grouping is nonsensical, they are not lit so impossible to see in the dark while the screen shines white on your face so you do not see anything. There are no banks nor plus or minus buttons, no tabs, everything is accessed by wheel, which goes back when you want it to go forward, one row of buttons for styles and sounds so you need to use the screen to see what you are activating. The design is horrible, functionality non existent, audio files sounds great if you just play them like any other media player, but the keyboard itself is a disaster. As for having real audio performances on other keyboards, it is possible of course but not sure if this is the point. For this amount of money to get the instrument this flawed is an insult to common sense and logic, an insult to basic human decency. So when you say the keyboard sounds great I strongly disagree, as the audio material sounds great while the keyboard itself is a disaster.

@@BojanBojovic Yes, I know these arguments... you repeat them so many times :) Of course you are entitled to such an opinion. And you know what? I think I'll surprise you now... because I also don't like many things about EVENT... but these are completely different things than what you're talking about. Since I have been playing Ketrons for years, I know the way of operating the instrument that the manufacturer has accustomed us to over the years. And this also has its advantages. An older user who is switching from models such as Audya will find their way here very quickly because the operating logic is identical. Coming back to the topic... if someone is used to using the Ketron operating system, they will work with it without any problems. It's just a matter of getting used to it. It all depends on the perspective and the user! You write about the sampler... For example: I don't care about the sampler! I'm not a sound designer, just a musician! ... and I think most users of this instrument feel the same way. The delayed RealChord track issue (as it used to be an issue) has long since been fixed in an update. I do internet streams where I play for a really long time on EVENT and somehow the instrument doesn't lose synchronization. Just update it. Other things you write about, such as the screen, buttons... don't bother me. Really. Something else bothers me: I don't like the high-gloss finish of the 76-key version, I don't like the external power supply, I don't like the right-hand guitar sounds (although I started playing around with editing these sounds and I think I "made" them much better than factory)... and here there is also a certain paradox: in my opinion, KETRON has the best guitars in accompaniments and the worst in PCM sounds. I would like better articulation of sounds. I would like something like MultiPad from Yamaha, but only to play acapella wav vocals (in Audya there was an option to launch Wave from the keyboard, it was called KeyTunes, and maybe it will come back here too). I would like more accompaniments in the same style as in the Movie&Show category from Yamaha, because there are practically no such styles in EVENT. I would also like to have a SynthVocoder and not just a vocal harmonizer. I would also like to have an EQ for each track in the accompaniment. I know that reloading the accompaniment "on the fly" from one to another in EVENT is not as fast as in other instruments... but there are so many audio tracks in one style... something for something. Personally, I forgive EVENT for this - I don't usually do such things during my performances. I would have preferred some kind of screen tab for quickly muting accompaniment tracks, as was the case with SD9… and I could go on and on. But you know what? For me, an instrument is good when its disadvantages are nothing compared to its advantages! LiveModeling app... Something brilliant and only Ketron has it! Thanks to this, I don't have to be a MIDI programmer to create my own styles! It is true that in other keyboards there is also something that allows you to "borrow" tracks from other styles, but here we have a huge independent library of patterns that we can use! I use this all the time, and no other keyboard gives me this! Why didn't any other manufacturer come up with something like this? I must admit that it would be hard for me to come to terms with the loss of this great tool! What's also brilliant for me is the ability to add my own WAVe loops to the accompaniments! Since I create a lot of music in DAW on VSTi, I create patterns not only for drums, but also for instrumentals and insert them into the accompaniment. This allows to make really powerful-sounding accompaniments! It is true that creating such instrumental wave loops is time-consuming, because they have to be programmed in each chord, but it is possible! I also love in Ketron that we have not only 4 fills, but also 4 breaks, and often drum variations on single variations (A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2)... it really diversifies the arrangement a lot… and I could go on for a long time, but the most important thing for me is the sound, and for me personally, EVENT sounds amazing thanks to its audio loops and recordings of live musicians in the accompaniment! You write that it's not WOW because it's just a player... seriously? So what does this change? From my perspective, it doesn't change anything! I am the one controlling this multi-track player by playing the keyboard, and the fact that I can hear an amazing bass player who plays funky music with me, for example, gives me great joy! When I turn on the country style and I hear that my chords are followed and charmed by the beautiful pedal steel in the RealChord audio section, I like it very much! I have never heard a blues harmonica sound so brilliant in any other keyboard. Why? Because it's simply a recorded living musician... who follows me! The wonderful sounding rhythm guitars in the Unplugged accompaniment category...sound magical! And yes... these are simply recordings by amazing musicians! Especially since this is the first keyboard from which I heard a really credible, beautiful bass that is not the typical keyboard "glut"! In the world of musicians (and I'm not just talking about keyboardists), keyboards are always mostly criticized in the context of the bass section... after all, it's different here. The bass sounds like a bass guitar, not a keyboard bass! But... If someone wants, they can call EVENT as a "multi-track player of audio files triggered by chords on the keyboard" :) ... I don't care. The important thing is that for me, as a musician, this sound gives an amazing Vibe! Of course, someone can now "hit me back" and say that he doesn't like EVENT's sound... that's tough. I won't fight it. Viewers will judge for themselves. Finally... I am not a conflict person. I have no intention of arguing or engaging in aggressive discussions. I always avoid it because I don't need it. This is probably the first comment to which I replied with such a long text. :) However, I think that judging EVENT with words such as "disaster" is very unfair. Everything has its advantages and disadvantages, and whether some equipment is brilliant for someone and worthless for another depends solely on the user's needs. I also receive a lot of messages asking for advice about the instrument. If someone asks me which instrument to choose and says that the most important thing for him are the voices of the right hand section, I have no problem saying that maybe he will like another instrument better, e.g. Genos with Super Articluation technology. If someone says that the most important thing for them is the dynamics of the accompaniment section, I say EVENT without hesitation. If someone asks me about the instrument that has the greatest editing capabilities, I recommend that they look at the Korg. If there was any perfect keyboard, everyone would have one model of the instrument. To sum up... the perfect instrument DOES NOT EXIST! There is no keyboard without flaws! @@bartekkrzemien Thanks Bartek for a long answer, I really appreciate it. No conflict, just an honest conversation. People get very religious about Ketron, this is for all of them wanting to buy this keyboard, let them read and see many different points of view and decide whether they can live with all those problems and shortcomings. I hear you and I see your point, but I really do not want to reward laziness and bad design, especially for 5000 Euros. I understand you and many others like what they hear, I like it as well, I admire Italian musicians and producers for what they did, but again this is not the keyboard, those resources will sound exactly the same everywhere, no matter the brand, or if played through a Winamp. And I say this because there is no excuse for a bad design, also good sound resources does not exclude everything else and does not mean you need to have a half baked product that costs like a premium product that actually works well. I do not want to go deep into Ketron's decision to resample Spectrasonics's sounds for their premium keyboard, this is another point worth mentioning when it comes the price and how serious the instrument really is. I also understand that you are coming from Audya, but please be objective, the fact you and other users got used to those horrible design decisions is not an argument to leave everything as it is. Arranger keyboards are my business, I especially work with musicians who use them professionally for weddings and other gigs, and you know what is common to all of them from all over the world? They all use custom made resources for their professional use, basically they show to their friends their new toy, few great styles, bass lines, some sounds and some tricks, and then back to reality, no one uses the majority of the factory stuff. And that reality is grim for Ketron as there is absolutely no way to create any serious resources for professionals for that keyboard. And here everything breaks apart, every bass line, and every trick they have to charge 5000 Euro for this unfinished and badly designed product. On the other hand I completely agree with you that a good design means nothing if there is no something special in the sound department. Simply look at Korg and their arrangers, functionality is magnificent but the way their keyboards reproduce audio, ones and zeroes actually, is horrendous. They all come broken straight from the factory. People say Pa5X finally fixed it, well let's se about it in the future when some serious tests are done. This is the hardware part of their keyboards, but they make it even worse by having RMS of their PCM data very high at -8db or even higher for no reason so their factory resources sound squashed because of that.
