Just had my soil tested and I have very high magnesium. It turns into concrete during the summer months. Thank you for the advice regarding Ca/Mg percentages and the use of lime and gypsum.

I wish sand wasn't so expensive because increasing porosity in silty soil (85% silt, 15% clay) would be easy if we could just add 40% sand to the mix. But if you are just planting a backyard garden or tree I would recommend mixing sand in the planting hole until you get the loamy soil as indicated by the soil triangle and a soil particle size test

Nice presentation... I saw a clay soil report ,high in Ca but having pH of around 5 .3 so now what will be good option to raise pH dolomitic lime or calcitic lime ..??
