GPS will recalculate route. Some units are not compatible and if your map versions and routing settings are not the same you may get different results. I like to convert Route to Track and send track to GPS. This way the planned 'route' remains unchanged - guaranteed. I also export waypoints used to plan routes. This way they become easily accesible under Favourites section of your GPS.
