Man Gildedguy is the type of animator that can make a show with stickmen, no dialogue, and no fight scenes an emotional roller coaster.

I just realized that GildedGuy’s armour glows when he’s happy. That’s actually kind of sweet.

I love how the whole premise of this is cause Gildeguy is trying to fix his armor which broke in his fight against Jade.

Not only is this video visually outstanding, but there is a whole lot of symbolism that people would easily miss. For example, people who like his work generally leave without supporting as if it were just a simple video. There are other viewers who may otherwise dislike it (no money from them), but "little" fans who stick around are the ones who support his hard work. The penny that disappeared shows how little he earns this way, however, the flower represents the kind praise for it. There are much more secrets in the animation than what I said as well.

If you think about it, this is his last happy moment and memory before that night happens where he becomes traumatized.

1:45 I didn't realize what the Little Guy (Lilian) was doing when I first watched this. Gildedguy's cup has a five-petaled flower, though pentamarils (The flowers in his yard) only have four petals. Lilian took a pentamaril and gave it an extra petal so that Gildedguy would have his flower. Nice!

Another detail I've never noticed until re-watching this animation: Gildedguy is ambidextrous.

this is one of the very few things that *always* manages to improve my mood and give me good vibes, usually I find overly happy/cheery stuff to be annoying but this just feels really genuine like you put a piece of yourself and your pride into it. I don't know how accurate this is, but as an artist I've always lived by this concept: all art is "vent" art, it expresses something personal to the artist. you can really feel the exact feelings that went into the work an artist makes. What I'm getting from this one is the joy and pride you feel from your work and getting to make your living with something that makes you so happy, and I get to feel some of that just from watching it.

This is a great lesson that Gildedguy is telling us. When you're a KZfaq animator, it can be hard to make a living because videos take so much time to make. But if you let criticism get to you and you start to get too worried about the money aspect of the job, your art loose its quality and its soul. Remember why you do this in the first place : because it's your passion, and people are here for good animation and nothing else ; in the video, this is what Gilded learn from Penny. You must do it for those that do care, like that squared-mask kid. Thanks, Gildedguy, for this message.

I can back after a long time to rewatch this incredible animation and I noticed something I didn’t before. At 3:05 Gilded turned the cup around hiding the flower, and revealing the dollar sign. I think here, what this means is that Gilded is turning away from either the joy of creation, or the joy of his fans for money. Later around 5:15, Penny shows Gilded the picture of her when she was younger, possibly showing him her dream of being a vocalist. I think this realigns Gilded’s perspective, “it’s not about the money” I believe. Later, he starts receiving more money for two reasons(I think). One, he’s teamed up with Penny, a well known artist. Two, since he’s not focusing on income, he puts his focus towards the content he’s putting out, improving it and drawing attention. I don’t know what to think about the last scene with the little kid who gave him the flower. It could be an “all for not” kind of thing, but I don’t know how that scene ties with the rest of my “theory” if you will.

As an artist myself, I could totally relate to the implied message here about hard it can be to ask for payment for something you’re passionate about. Also the dance choreography in animation is Phenomenal. Way to go man!

I think the message of Basement Busk is ultimately to not just do things for profit or personal gain, but to really enjoy it.

Wow, this is um... Really good. Like, holy shit. This is really FUCKING good! Seriously man, I don't even have the words to say it. More to it than being entertaining, your style is just fun as hell to watch. The blurred movements and expressions and, just... Fuck, the ENERGY of it is crazy, bro! Watching this'll get anyone moving!

It takes a while since I started watching Gildedguy's animations until I notice something in this story that I didn't before, which leads me to wonder, why the hell does Gildedguy have a jade plush doll?

As I've grown older I just realized something. When Gildedguy isn't doing it for the money and just being passionate, everything goes dark because when you're passionately working on something with sincere passion, you don't notice everyone else. When you're genuine, you don't notice the fame or the money, you just do what you do because you love it.

My husband just shared this video with me. I'm an animation student for 2D and digital animation (not 3D), and I've studied all sorts of animations in our classes. Yours is so smooth and fluid!! It feels like you have such a strong understanding of good animation, and this was so enjoyable to watch! Even simple stories can be amazing when told with good animation! ❤️

Omg this is amazing. Such fluid animation, positive message, a heart warming feeling, and a good length. I love it Gilded, I really do! The wait was so worth it. I'm going to go show all of my friends about it now, although most can't appreciate the work put into animation.

This is unironically one of my favorite Gildedguy stories because it shows Gildedguy at ease. By that I mean it characterizes Gildedguy outside of the typical duels and clashes like the other videos. Answering what is Gildedguy like as a person when he's not a shiny, conductive lawnmower. Other Gildedguy story videos has those moments as well, but this is purely this kind of scenario (this and Green-Eyed Cowboy to a degree).

I would donate but I am a very, very young boy who doesn't make money yet. This is truly amazing and I would hope to see that you get so much more attention because you deserve it. The smoothness, the meaning, the feeling of the atmosphere, the unique personalities of characters, the designs that are easy to make out and understand, the scenes where certain things pop out, glow, and/or shine, and the amount of detail put into the background, background characters, and shading of almost everything in the environment. There is a lot of love and passion put into these animations!

I love the face on gilded guy when hes like "man i needed that coin, but bringing joy is great... but danget I really need money" this edisode is basically gilded guy learning how to accept money for his creativity and I love it.

Really awesome job Gildedguy! Man I love your style! And I didnt realize as you were making this that the message in this animation is so relatable to animators or creators who struggle to make a living of their passion. Realizign that made this animation even better to me.

I love how the contents of his house in the 'drawing' into always change to match whatever the episode it about.

I find it funny how even in this we see how strong gildedguy is as he forgets his strength and sends penny dizzy with how he spun her as it seems he did it with minimal effort, I just like that his strength and capabilities stay consistent through out the story Edit: I also love how it still shows his kind nature as afterwards he did a lil show just for the kid lol

5:11 I like this frame because I feel like there's a message here. On the left,the pot with the money symbol shows that GlidedGuy need money. He do everything so people give him coins but he didn't have much passion and he's forcing people to donate. Thus people refuses to donate him. On the right side,a barret hat with a picture of Penny(the red singer) as a child singing shows her passion for singing. She loves singing and she's able to earn money just by doing what she loves. Great message there Glided or maybe that's something else but that's my opinion. Sorry for the long comment.

Animating is hard; we all know that, and finding someone that makes a *perfect* feel to the animation with music is and knows how to make a feeling of pure coolness is harder to find than animating itself. Anyone can animate, but very few can recreate the atmosphere provided by Gildedguy. Music is great Animation is clean Shading is perfect This is stickfigure animation at it's *best* Keep it up!

Huge fan of these animations. Slush Invaders remains my hands down favorite stick figure animation of all time. Be this as it may, it's pretty clear that a lot of improvement is being shown here. The music is always a lot of fun and I've been introduced to a lot of great songs and artists through these animations. Obligatory fanboying outta the way, is Gildedguy's armor actually made of gold? Even if it's just an alloy, that must mean he's really strong what with all the jumping around the guy does. It would explain why the armor doesn't seem extremely durable. That metal ain't made for taking hits. That said, is his power the power to restore his armor to extents? We saw him flashing the singes off it when he fought jade and he can almost instantly meld coins to it.

So I just noticed something about Lillian. Every time she offers a Pentameril (Those purple flowers), they always have five petals, which despite their name is meant to be rare for those flowers. Pair that with the fact that the Pentastella was shining down on her little flower shop, and the artwork for the upcoming Story 0, there's definitely something about the little kid.

This was top notch indeed, It better get at least above 400,000 views by the end of the week. It showcases about a creators conflict between the love to create and the want for cash nicely.It begins simple, steps up in the middle with some cringe thrown in on Gildedguy's part, than ends gracefully. I loved the part with the kid who is a fan of Gildedguy, it was very touching. Maybe you are planning something with him or maybe not, but if you are, maybe you can have him as a sort of apprentice of Gilded's and name him something along the lines of Tinninglad. Also damn, the chemistry between gilded and the singer dude or girl was great, the sportsmanship between them was strong. Heck, if the singer was a girl, I think the romance between them would be much stronger than if Gilded was with Jade, but that is just me. Anyway, consider your video liked and keep up the good work man.

my favorite is the jade fight, but they are all amazingly perfectly animated

What I love about Gildedguy is that he makes such great stories without dialog (except song of course) I can always know what they are thinking, and this is an extreme episode of that I'll even explain it in how I saw it *WARNING, very long and badly grammared* Ok, your here, I should say, then GG does his magic show, which many there enjoy. He likes to see the posetives about it and it makes him feel great (I also love how his armor glows when he feels great positivity, great detail) He then gets an idea, and gets an old, empty flourpot that he has, so he gets it down for tips However, he see's the majority already left, and the one left were harsh critics. So he puts away the idea for now. After he waves everyone away, Lilian (this great child I adore to the bottom of my heart) comes to give him a tip! GG's seems glad until he see it's just a penny (ah, thats why she was named that), but tries to show apprietiation.However, Lilian see's through him and mistakens that he wanted a flower as a tip. After that, GG goes to his desk and fixes his helmet. In lore, the magic brush/pen pretty mush help made his armor, and that is why he uses it to melt the gold. Why he uses gold (I just wanted to summurize for fun) is not because of it's expence, but because he see's gold as an actual pretty color, and wants others to enjoy it the same way. Anyway, he tries using the penny, but it evaporates. He then looks at the pot and decides to go and get some tips (he is a bit greedy and selfish at times, yet I fell like that's intentional, makes him more relatable) So he goes to a basement party he had a flier about, and sees a new character, Penny (see?). He sees she has quite a following feeling like he doesn't have the skill, he starts to leave, but gets on due to open slots And when he gets on, he decides to go with it, putting away the tip-pot and starts dancing and singing with enjoyment. He even brings up the croud with joy Afgter Penny sees he forgot his tip-pot, she gives it back to him. During her preformance, she sees he still has no tips, so she tells him to try to get some. Unfortunately, he gets greedy again, and kind of demands for tips, bringing down the atmosphere with everyone And he loses his joy along with them, losing his Literal brightness and Penny sees this, so she shows him her hat with a flower and photo And here, i realized whatthe flowers were meaning: enjoyment. and I guess so did GG because he decieds to literally flip his original idea, and starts enjoying himself he looks back for a tip, but Penny helps him out rather by making him enjoy himself (again, i love the detail of his literal attitude... did i say it right?) And after getting his posotivity back, he gets better and/or brings back everyone's good mood, with them giving lots of tips Penny points out he finally is getting reconition, but ignores it and decides to just have fun after the show, It seemed Penny enjoyed their time, and it seemed to keep GG in a great mood, with him learning about his fun blossaming. Further proven when we see that the pot got upgraded. And even though he just wants to bring joy to his preformances alone now, he still feels happy when he gets tipped (Which is again relatable) I loved all the detail in this one, and I really enjoyed it like how the flower represented enjoyment and even if you don't agree, the song and vid is still enough to enjoy it just as much. srry its so long and badly grammered, but I just wanted to express wow, I don't think Ive done anything like this in the comments
