Good stuff! I would probably recommend a good hunting blind for new turkey hunters, too! If you hear a Tom coming in, you can close up the windows behind you & get away with some moment that would otherwise spook a bird.

I've been wanting to turkey hunt for years, and never have. This was a great video on what I need. The next thing I would ask is do you have videos on patterning your shotgun, and how to find turkeys? Do you have to scout days or weeks ahead of time? I'm going to be stuck hunting public game lands, any tips for that? Thank you!

Hey! Thanks for watching, I actually have videos on scouting for turkey, patterning the shotgun, and several turkey hunts. Most of those videos can be found in my turkey hunting playlist. I usually only scout a few days ahead of time cause they change what they are doing so often. On public land just be prepared to run into other hunters and don’t be afraid to put the miles in 🤘

The shotgun is a mossberg 900 the vest I’m not sure if I got it in Facebook marketplace years ago

Have never hunted Turkey, I live in East Tennessee how do you scout for turkey and is it best to hunt Mtn's or fields?

You can kill them in either setting, a lot of the deer hunting knowledge holds true to turkeys- you have to hunt them where they are. Put boots on the ground, get some eyes on them, look for scratching and closer to season look/listen for gobbling birds. I have another video on the channel that specifically covers how to scout wild turkeys make sure to give that a watch.

Hello, I have hunted deer Using a rifle from ground blinds or from tree stands, but I’m interested in using my dual license in Virginia to go after turkey as well. The thing is, I have myopia And astigmatism, and I use progressive bifocals when I hunt. Realistically, will I really need to get contact lenses plus reading glasses at hand in my pocket to avoid having the reflective eyeglasses? Are eyeglasses a dead giveaway to a turkey?

I’ve hunted with plenty of people that wear glasses and I think you’d be just fine with a hat and face mask. More important to not move

Not sure, I like a very dull almost worn out look. I don’t even run camo pants just a flat military green. Nothing that looks new or has a sheen

I’ve used them all right now I have a 28inch barrel. I do prefer the shorter ones but when it comes down to it I don’t think it matters much

I bought one of those turkey mouth calls that you put to the roof of your mouth from cabelas along with other goodies I never turkey hunted before I put that thing in my mouth the direction shows driving home trying to call I was gagging so damn bad about threw up in my truck coughing eyes watering had to pull over about choked spit that thing out got my breath screw that mouth call stuff I will be buying a squak box or the scratch an awe one and practice has any one els had the same experience or I'm just being a baby

They do take some getting used to, also they come in different sizes I would try a smaller one for sure
