I'm new as well, something that really helped me with matchups was playing ARAM and always trying a new champ to see what their abilities are. It's not tilting. The matches are short, and no one is going to flame you for doing bad as long as you're trying to help the team. Also, try playing it without camera lock as it's just up and down movements. 👍

@21:00 "Why are you hitting the wave?" "Because I want to ensure I get as much of the gold as possible" "Ok, sure, we all want to do that, but the waves of minions only come in every 30 seconds, they don't immediately reinforce, so by smashing the minion wave as fast as we can, the next minion wave is still only going to come in 30 seconds later. If we slowly last hit, then we let the enemy minions come a little closer to us before we have to start hitting them. If we allow the next wave of enemy minions to come at us while we are closer to our tower, then we are safer. The point here is to understand that the enemy minions will not come at us faster if we smash minions in front of us. The enemy minions will always arrive 30 seconds later. So, if we just slowly last hit the minions in front of us, then the next enemy minion wave will arrive to us when we are closer to our tower. If we just smash every minion in front of us, then our minions will creep up and start fighting the enemy minion wave closer to the enemy tower. If our goal is to farm minion gold, then we don't want that." (These are the basics, and you could outsource this part, and then come in and refine it.)

Every single thing you are saying is exactly in line with what you teach, and I value what you teach because I have found it to be correct. So, let me get that compliment out of the way before I say what I say next... "CC", "Leech", "Auto reset", those are terms that advanced players know, not newbs. With a complete newb, you gotta dumb it down even more than that. "Stun you" rather than "CC". "Absorb the level up experience" rather than "Leech". "Combo auto attack into something that counts as an auto attack, to maximize the damage done in a short space of time" rather than "Auto reset". "Auto attack, and then reset the Auto Attack cooldown with an ability that immediately makes your character do an Auto Attack with perks." Even Auto Attacks have a cooldown, based on your Attack speed stat, so an ability that counts as an Auto Attack, can immediately cancel the Auto Attack cooldown. (That is how simple newbs are, they don't know anything.)

we definitely don't know these concepts. When I play support, almost every single game my adc dies of gets chunked out needlessly when the wave is pushing to us (then ping me). And a lot of adc are autofilled solo laners

I win 90% of my lanes as a top laner and I'm still losing 80% of my games, what am I doing wrong.
@McLovinMcFlurry
@McLovinMcFlurry Жыл бұрын
Not pushing lanes and prioritizing obj and tower damage over kda. Probably chasing when you should be shoving. I won 75% of my games since I watched this video. I always had macro and knew how to end the game quick if I snowballed but I always sucked at lane phase until mid game so I could never consistently snowball. Now the only games I lose are games people surrender before 10 min. Or just flame from champ selection and had no intention on being a good teammate. Most people want LP no matter how they get it. Very small loud minority of dumb low elo players would rather lose playing the way they want too play then adapt and change the play style for the team and get the LP gains. If you already got this down pretty good go focus on improving your macro and end game decisions and focusing on gold and XP advantage over the kda. I see so many games that can end in 25-30 min if people would just follow the leader or the person with the best ideas. If you see a giant minion pile pushed deep passes river and your like 5 seconds away it's always smarter too as a team destroy the tower then back up and go B. It's situational obviously but if you see both teams just playing ARAM mid lane notice that and take the initiative and go back door a tower while everyone fighting over baron or dragon. Sometimes all you need is that one inhib too open the game up

I find it funny how Neace is all about analogies and exlaining things as if its quantum physics while its the easiest concepts anyone can master by just having a lot of matches under their belts of experience. Just oversimplify and make it a fun experience learning the game than intimidating the newbies. He goes all about this offense/defense and hourglass instead of getting into the essence. Example: Offense/Defense You are in offense when you have a healthier minnion wave, your goal is to crush the wave into the opposing tower and if the opponent tries to farm you harass him/trade blows with him. Mentality "psycho" , you should be mean and do not shy away from a fight when on offense. (I know i know...mindblown) Note: No matter if you misplay and die on offense. Limit testing for newbies. In contrast when you are on defense you should not approach the opponent unless you are really confident on your skill to win a trade but as a general rule of thumb you do not trade and just keep distance. Not to much, just enough to be safe, not take damage while also close enough to get exp from minnions that die in the lane in front of you. You farm safely under tower or you "steal" minnions. Steal: Last hit minnion in such a timing/position that the opponent can not harass you or will put him in an uncomfortable position himself. Mentality "pussy" You do not get to dictate which minnions you can get without a trade of blows, so your best choice is to avoid conflict/damage at all and get what you can while keeping your healthbar as full as possible. Garen's enchanted health regeneration is what makes him a good and very forgiving newb pick. "Hourglass" When you have stacked a big blop/wave of your minnions and crush them under the opposing tower, you should be either harassing or going crazy over killing the opponent OOOORRR. You can leave the lane temporarily to impact the game. The "hourglass" analogy comes from the fact that you have to come back to your lane as soon as that minnion wave you crushed dies and the roles of offense/defense switch. Remember you can TEMPORARILY leave the lane while that minnion wave of yours is crushing. Crushing: Minnion wave striking the opposing tower. Why would you leave the lane? As mentioned: 1. To ward 2. To recall 3. To rotate (go other lane and gang up on the opponent if there is a chance) 4. For objective (Herald/Dragon) But always remember...you have indeed a TIMER (hourglass) to come back to lane as soon as your crushing wave dies in order to continue the laning phase, get exp and yadda yadda otherwise you fall behind. There...these are the simpliest concepts explained and easily understood for anyone. Thats a 5 mins maximum read...take it or leave it. Instead of paying and wasting time.
