Ainsley Welch because they are boys😂😂

+Katelynn Schreiman there's really good dancer out there And they are boys , even if you are a girl And havent take a ballet class it would be the same.
@katelynnschreiman10065 жыл бұрын
A.J. Parsons I understand that but all the basketball boys I know are like that. But some are probably different. For this group of boys it wasn’t that big of surprise to my as much as they complained.
@AJPerez-hz8ru5 жыл бұрын
+Katelynn Schreiman ooohhh ,i didnt get that parte 😅 , yeah they use to be really strong(muscle) And that doesnt help with stetch. 😂
@key17005 жыл бұрын
I do Ballet, and I know that it’s really hard, but they shouldn’t be this inflexible. The lunge should’ve been easy right? Like you’re supposed to stretch after cardio before doing any sort of sports of physical activity, so they should be stretching...?
@marag71844 жыл бұрын
I mean they are all in shape, they are doing basketball too
@nickxdangelopersonal3 жыл бұрын
They probably do simpler stretches tbh
@beansforlief57033 жыл бұрын
Madeline Townsend yeah but don’t the need a bit of leg strength?
@paosoriano54953 жыл бұрын
Not everyone has the same flexibility, I do ballet too and I don't have a lot of of flexibility; in this context they stretch for relax the muscles not for being more flexible or because the discipline needs it
@Tartarazine3 жыл бұрын
You'd be surprised how little basketball players stretch.

I liked watching this I’ve done ballet all my life (I’m not professional tho) and now I’m not in ballet class but still dancing other styles and playing basketball, I’m also naturally flexible so it was funny to watch them try so hard
@avigailgelfand98335 жыл бұрын
Hail Lee me too I play highschool bball and I have danced my whole life. I always lead stretches and the girls are more flexible but also scream. It's hilarious
@thisuser15806 жыл бұрын
Do they not stretch during basketball practice?
@renator45626 жыл бұрын
Ife Uchime yeah, they do But they stretch for warm up and not for get flexible
@katerinaliakou55493 жыл бұрын
@[]•Ëlíşä Čøøk•[] Pain is so normal for ballet dancers that even I with only a few years of experience in the past, find it funny that they complain because it's normal, you are told to suck it up and smile, so we're used to silent suffering if that makes sense. The younger you start ballet the better, because for example a 3 year old has softer bones and a more malleable body, so they get "molded" for dancing.
@eleoeleleoleo68513 жыл бұрын
Not most of the time like ballet or dancing cuz basketball doesn’t require a lot of flexibility and I would say to you dancers do you not build muscle during ballet ??
@yandere-kuninyourcloset57413 жыл бұрын
@@eleoeleleoleo6851 we do, mostly lower body though but you have to cross train a lot to be a successful dancer and have prettier lines
@Jaznotfound3 жыл бұрын
All sports do but they focus more on the muscles than stretching thats why they are not flexible 😳

I hate how whenever there are videos like this the teachers never tell the new "students" not to over turnout. Y'all seriously trying to bust out their knees. Even if they do one class, they should be doing it safely
@yourlocalwusswithafartingk15362 жыл бұрын
Fr especially on first position, it makes me scared that they're gonna bust a muscle or their ankles or something.
@matilda86752 жыл бұрын
exactly, i had my first ballet lesson around 4 months ago and the first thing my ballet teacher told me when she was teaching the positions was “dont force your turnout”
@robinscruggs71196 жыл бұрын
I play basketball (and I'm a girl) and I've done some dance (not much and when I was like 5 lol) but they should NOT be this inflexible because defense requires leg strength so.... unless they just suck at basketball lol
@XiumaiPink6 жыл бұрын
Haha, a lot of them were over exaggerating for the sake of the video. They are all great players. Also girls are built differently than guys haha :)
@gracesmith59156 жыл бұрын
XamTj also usually if you do a sport like basketball, even if it requires leg strength, it shortens the muscles in yours legs instead of them being lengthened out
@noradieulesaint1816 жыл бұрын
Robin Scruggs me too 😂
@reyna21676 жыл бұрын

I've done ballet since I was 3, and have sometimes tried to teach my friends, but this really takes the biscuit. They should really not be that inflexible. I just watched that and was like, 'These boys are not goin to have fun.' But me watching them... I definitely had fun.

their middle splits have to be done with their knees + toes facing up becausw they could really hurt their knees
@paige25975 жыл бұрын
Therese Hamer nah fam in middle splits your knees are supposed to face forward. In straddle (sitting on the ground with your legs apart and reaching forward) you're supposed to have your knees up
@Paul-iv9mt3 жыл бұрын
I absolutely loved this video. Always fun to see athletes dragged to the barre where they discover ballet is not waving your arms about in a tutu! They were having a lot of fun but you can see they soon realised they were not as fit and flexible as they thought. Mind you I saw one or two lovely first position turnouts, a nice plie and some great stretches. Boys who should do ballet if they aren't already
