Just these 2 years alone are almost 5000 points. added to his total thats 37000 points already. Now imagine he never stopped for the 2nd time either. Don't forget 2 season out due to injury as-well, so 13 overall seasons, he also started at 21, imagine if he started at 19-20 and played 20 full seasons without injury. His numbers would be insane.

Could've also started 3 years earlier between his time with Kansas and the Globetrotters and probably would've put up 30+ PPG which adds up to over 7K points. And then if he never got injured in '70 he'd have another season averaging at least 20 ppg which is another 1.5K points. The injury definitely took a toll on him too since medical tech, sports medicine/training/conditioning and rehab protocols were no where near as good so he probably could've actually played a extra season or two even at just 15 ppg that's another 2.5K. And if we really wanna go all in in this "what if" we can also say that Wilt didn't intentionally change his playstyle to focus less on scoring and more on a conducive winning team oriented style during his Philly/LA years then he'd still probably would've averaged 25-30 ppg over those last 7 years instead of 20 ppg which adds another 3-6K points. So that would put his somewhere in the ball park of 45K points.

Yeah, Jordan retired twice and played in a much lower scoring era compared to today's game. Before his knee injury, Jordan was putting up the same numbers at 39 as Lebron is today (PPG), yet a much lower scoring season than today. That's why Lebron fanboys will only compare players to Lebron in their 21st season and not at "age 39".

So pretty significant difference when you take into relative efficiency, the fact his stats overall are better, and that the Lakers are an actual playoff team that just made the WCF whereas the Wizards were dookie with and without Jordan putting up mostly empty numbers. Also I think people forget Bron came into the league during the slowest pace, lowest scoring era, defensive oriented era in bastkeball in the early to mid 00s and because of this the league average in PPG from 2004-2024 is about 103.3 compared to during Jordan's career 1984-1999, 2001-2003 at 103.5.

Lebron only has 2 seasons worth of averaging 30 pints per game, while in a low offensive era Jordan still managed to get 7 straight seasons of averaging over 30 pints per game and averaged well over 2.5 steals per game during that time. Plus Lebron is the All Time leader in turnovers.
