I’m descendent of Spanish basque and have been in New Mexico since 1692

It has been over thirty years since I have heard my grandmother speak English in her Basque accent. The two women at the beginning of this well done video sound just like her. Even the slang is the same. What a gift to hear that melodious sound again. I will forever miss her kindness and her laugh. Thank you for posting this.

I am a Filipino guy And I had Basque blood in both parental sides from Gipuzkoa,Northern Spain. My paternal ancestors were in Navarrese kingdom of Baztan from Bassano del Grappa ,Provinza di Vicenza with Catalan descendant. And my mother's Bilbao, Viscaya origin of Portuguese maternal origin. And i am generation of Alvaro de Bazan, a Spanish navy captain of Navarrese royal origin. Now,along to colonize my country by Sebastian del Elcano to Miguel Lopez de Legazpi (who died in Intramuros, Manila) were Basque Conquistadors. And my ancestors were isolated between civil war and rights and independence against Spain like fron Franco Regime of Castillian Republic. Also Catalonia ( Including Allies or my extra ancestors as independence),it will no longer Spanish county or province like Scotland away from England or UK also biggest rival in the history. Even I related the Byzantine Crusader.
