it's very tough to replicate some of the routing and plugin functions in logic, but using busses, and googling alternative plugins will help get you there, albeit at a cost usually/ but saying that there are some great free plugins about. or just get ableton and use both :D

Im actually wondering if the second filter in your "groove" rack is really passing the lows. isnt the notch filter cutting them off before? (unfortunately i can only watch this video on shitty laptop speakers right now since my prod.system hasnt internet and i dont use ableton so i cannot check) Im struggling a bit reproducing your techniques in cubase :D

Awesome video just as always. I just don’t get one thing for now - why using high hat clip for sidechaining and not just side chain bass with the kick? I do it all the time (in fl tho) and it’s working just fine for me.
@artfxdnb
@artfxdnb 5 жыл бұрын
Because you have a lot more control when using a separate trigger track. Most of the time you only want the sidechain to happen during the transient of the kick, while during the tail of the kick doesn't often need it. Also in Drum & Bass, since the tempo is so quick, using your main kick will sometimes result in the sidechain cutting away too much of the bassline, this is why having a short hihat will help in getting a quicker sidechain movement.

Dope. Though, I'm not sure why you didn't just use drums you've previously done, they'd be dope as.
