The Stupid will Inherit the Earth easier to focus when you grow up in a family of musicians. Its like being born to parents that speak another language. All youll know is music. All the modern day child prodigies have parents who were also musicians or their parents paid for lessons at an early age.

Tosin Abasi is more imaginative. But this guy has a good grasp on theory too
@KetamineBoi-wb7yh
@KetamineBoi-wb7yh Жыл бұрын
@@skornthesnake6935 well here’s the thing. Abasi is more imaginative rhythmically, due to his constant surroundings being AAL, arguably one of the most technically and rhythmically complicated metal bands of all time, while Thundercat on the other hand, is an r&b/soul/jazz artist, and he has a very deep grasp on harmony. Both of them are different in what they understand. I would argue that tosin rhythmically is more talented than Thundercat (which says a LOT), however Thundercat functions as a strong multi instrumentalist and as a WICKED bass player. They’re just different, neither better than another.

The problem with very good bassist and other good musicians is that there is no secret nor specific exercises to do in order to achieve their personal music experience. What is he simply trying to say is that, you have to study a lot of basic stuff, and then try to find your own dimension in the bass, following your heart. It's like asking someone who writes incredible books "where do you find the inspiration?" , they don't even know themselves, but they know they practiced so much, that they can really give shape and expressions to their thoughts. Cheers

Pig Wizard man, I've been thinking about this for a long time and I gotta say I'd want a few different people. A lot of people might hate me for this one, but throwing Terry Bozio in on a track or two would just be killer. And on the subject of special guests for it, I'd love to have Josh Travis lend a hand. Christ the technical powerhouse that would be. But for primary drummer? The dude from Necrophagist.

Pig Wizard OH and I'd love to hear them riff & solo over a Flylo beat. Thundercat's work with Flylo is already tight as fuck. Tosin, Josh, Thundercat, and Flylo all providing some instruments and beats while some absolutely stunning vocalist (Diane Coffee, Niki Randa, Jim James, Spencer Sotelo) gives a vocal performance. But that's just me, man. What collabs would you like to see?
