In this video, I fish a COLD FRONT in hopes of putting together a pattern for some big fish. After a few solid fish, a TRUE GIANT SMASHES my crankbait RIGHT at the bank.
I caught this fish using my KastKing Speed Demon Pro reel: amzn.to/2NWUT0X
and Speed Demon Pro Rod:
amzn.to/2Map1Fw
I hope you guys enjoyed this video, this is without a doubt some of the most intense footage I have captured. I am incredibly fortunate to have captured this fish, even more fortunate to capture it on film.
THANK YOU for watching, plenty of big fish videos coming up!

A tip for those with a hook in your finger, if you would like to save yourself a hospital trip, if the hooks barb is under the skin then just push it through until it pops back out. Had to do it when I was a kid after my mom dropped me off for the day to fish a farm pond and I had no way to leave. Pushed the hook through and cut the barb with my pliers and went back to fishing

Just a bit of feedback. Great video, but one thing I think all fishing channels should do is take a few seconds before you start fishing and tell us what lure you’re using. Hold it up to the camera so we can see what color it is and what it looks like. I know you briefly mention your lure in the video but it would be helpful to viewers to know what it is in the beginning and see what it looks like. Just a thought. Nice video man 👌🏻✌️

What I love about this video is that his emotion is so real and not faked like a lot of popular KZfaq fisherman. It reminded me of the time I caught a 6lb largemouth on a 4" swimbait from shore at pond like this one. I been bank fishing for 45 years. Never caught one over 5 pounds. I have changed my reel, pole, knot and lures. Last week caught a 4 pounder and five pounder on back to back casts. Green Pumpkin Senko Texas rigged. It was a thrill! Caught two smallies on the same Rapala Shad rap one time. Both fish were 2.5 a piece. That was amazing. Caught a huge Northern on a White Big O. Broke my pole 3 times. All I had left was 4 inches above the reel. No net! Took 20 minutes to try and land it. Just as I was going to bring it up to get it out of the water his gill cut my 15 pd mono. He got my Big 'O' too. Came back next day same spot had 3 ft wire leader and caught him again with a 3/4 oz Rattle Trap Chrome and Black. He still had my White Big '0' in his mouth. 38 inches long 26 pounds. Got my Big '0' back too. Now going for PB largemouth. 20 pound braided line and a 7'2 ft Ugly stick medium heavy bait caster. He wont get away. See Ya! At the Lake's. Shawn

You need to try Florida, I'm not much of a bass fisherman, prefer exotics but got an 8.69 on the digital second cast in a small pond behind the in laws house. Followed up with some 4 to 6s every few casts all on a black PopMax. The last three Okeechobee trips on my neighbor's boat I got only one 3 pounder, always get so much more just walking the banks where the boats can't reach.

@@jordonpratt2604 Jordan Pratt. Hello Jordan thanks for the reply. YES ! We never told anybody about it. We also never had time to put a plan together. First, I'm not a bass fisherman in the sense of type of gear, I'm a trout fisherman and almost always fly fish. Mostly mountain streams and cricks. I now live in East Kentucky. Have fished Yatesville Lake a few times from my kayak, I can tell you it's got some enormous sm bass in there. I did tell of this one time on FlyFishingForum.com. Got called out , criticized, lol'd pretty good. Only one guy allowed that people should remember there are plenty of freaks in nature. I am not a cherry to catching big fish. I have spent years fishing the Atlantic Ocean, giant tuna for example. So I tooted my horn just now, I apologize. One more thing, I have lost monsters by thinking small.

I'm 54 years old and have been fishing most of my life, but I really suck at it. I've learned more about how to fish watching these videos in the last couple weeks, then I have in the last 50 years. I think because you have the GoPro strapped to the front of you, I can see what you're doing with the pole, so its easier to duplicate it when I go fishing next time. Great video, and fantastic fish.

You're so right! I'm 45 and been catching bass for nearly 40 years. I've been fishing warming trends this winter for the first time. Always good the last day when the cold front is coming in. And I've caught more consistently big bass than ever in my life really, especially in the time period. I'm Fishing an acre and a half neighborhood pond in Virginia, no boat for the river, and pulling out 2 to 4 1/2 pounders frequently before this last super cold snap. So many more fish in this pond than I ever thought, and crappie too! Just started watching these KZfaq fishing videos less than a year ago and I can say I have learned more in 6 months then I did most of my years. Awesome to have this knowledge at our fingertips and thank you to all that do it and teach us. Good luck on a huge one this year brother

my Dad pulled a bass that size from a tiny deep lake we had across the street from our flat when we lived on M36 in Ann Arbor MI area. I was just a tyke. Our photo of it shows it nearly as wide as the tree he propped it against to make the shot. It fed our family of four for two meals. what a beast! beautiful bass, too! It is all bogged over now but I imagine there may be huge lunkers under the weeds. I worked on golf courses near rivers and creeks where the trout were about 15 inches long and larger. I could see them in the clear water. During the drought year the water ran low and the great blue herons grew very large that year. Someone with rights no doubt pulled some out during off hours too. There were large snapping turtles in the ponds and the river. One was 250 pounds, so they had plenty to eat. All that good fishing and I could do nothing about it--but there is no stopping me now. I am just now putting together a good rod and bait to find out what lives down the street from me to the east, and what lives in the Grand River as it leaves the city to the southwest. Today I am shopping for reliable waders. I will post stills of the results on my facebook. Your videos are some of the best out there. Great, tight editing. Thanks for being a class act.

The last big fish I cought was in Northern California in November. I was just catching 1lbers on a Dropshot and then out of nowhere a 5.9lb just casually came along. I was super happy because it was the biggest Dropshot bass I've cought.

Very rarely does someone catch a fish on youtube with no scale, call it a double digit, and have nobody question the estimate. This is one of those times. That looks like it may even be a teener. What a fish of a lifetime.

A falling barometer is a good thing, it causes the swim bladder to deflate leaving more room in the stomach. Fish often bite at this time. Congratulations on the Buffalo bass👍🐟
@TyPigPatrol
@TyPigPatrol 5 жыл бұрын
Not only leaving more room, but the fish are much more comfortable with less pressure on the air bladder, and they are a lot more mobile! good to know other anglers "get it" when it comes to pressure!

That is a nice bass. It's not uncommon to find these fish in private ponds or lakes where fishing is prohibited. Dad used to play gold and he told me of the giant bass. I use to do a lot of bass fishing with plastic worms & wild shiners & most bass were caught in 3 feet or less of water. Take care.

Smooth catch. Good job on the 13 pounder. I really felt the strength of that catch. It was like I was catching it myself. Make more video's dude. Thanks for throwing them all back. Catch and release give the fish a better chance of survival. Also makes it harder to catch again. The next time someone catches her, she will be smarter and maybe even bigger. What a lunker Wow!

Ty, dude!!!!!! What a sow! Good one. I just started watching your channel. You do cool stuff. Fishing for giant bass on a golf course? That’s just insane in a good way. I live way north of 49 in BRITISH Columbia Canada (about 54 north). We have big fish, Salmon, Sturgeon, Burbot, Rainbow, Lake Trout, Pike, etc. One thing I know for sure is I’m never going to be able to catch them out of a golf course pond or a city park. Love your channel.

Now that’s what I call a “Bucketmouth”!!! I live up in Canada. Southern portion of the province of Ontario, and that Largemouth Bass you caught is surely trophy-sized! For a Largemouth Bass that big which my Personal Best (PB) was around that size! Caught her on a surface lure which was the Zara Spook in frog colour at nighttime (super early morning) sometime around the first days of September 2016 at my aunt’s cottage on the Bay of Quinte! I used my small multi-tool that has a scale but the springs in it were rusty and it indicated she was 5lbs! So, if the springs for the weight scale were not rusty, it had to be a LEGENDARY-SIZED Canadian Largemouth Bass (aka a “Bucketmouth”)! Our Largemouth up in Canada from what I have read and heard, have bigger scales than your southern USA Largemouth Bass (e.g. Florida, Texas, California) and Mexico! Overall, EPIC CATCH!!! I also saw your fishing videos from Columbia catching those MONSTER Peacock Bass, I would like to (maybe someday) go fishing there! Or go freshwater fishing in Florida for Peacocks! I also have caught the invasive Pleco (Common Pleco) up here on Lake Simcoe (near Jackson’s Point) in late Winter (mid-late March) 2017 while most of the lake was iced over and there was an open spot (luckily) at the Bonnie Boats fishing pier! I DID NOT EXPECT to catch a Pleco here at home and this fish was on my “Bucket-list” of fish to catch! Check! At first I thought I was just insanely lucky or a fluke, but I was told by a highly experienced fisherwoman that owns a bait shop nearby the spot that there are those sucker mouth catfish (Plecos) in Lake Simcoe! I LOVE FISHING!!!

I used to seek huge bass. Then I became a deer hunter. The only advantage of fishing is that I can catch and release. Hunting... Be damn sure that what I am about to squeeze the trigger on is what I want in the freezer! Still, I love to fish and hunt. Surf and turf to me is Rainbow trout and Deer steaks, grilled to perfection! Hey, when he pulls drag, point the rod straight down the line so the rod's loop's friction doesn't interfere with the drag. Make it stick/catch. Anyway, this way, the only thing between reel and fish is a smooth, bait caster's drag and line stretch. Really, I hold the rod and pull a certain strength. When fish pulls back. I don't pull harder. I let the fish pull the rod down till it's pretty much pointing straight down the line towards the fish. And then it pulls drag. I hold the same tension and when fish tires, rod comes up and you know the rest -
