Seeing this live was incredible. Truly spiritual and life changing. At 41 I've been heavily listening to EDM for over 25 years now. I've seen countless shows and experienced things I'm blessed to hehe of been a part of. There are a few experiences however that are just too dope, too powerful to ever forget. Not ashamed to be one of the older dudes at some of these shows. I've gotta be a bit more mindful but I'm there for the music , for me, and to honor the artists. Not too focused on rest. Anyways id just grabbed a drink andb walking to the floor when it all went dark and this baseline started. It slowly washed over the pretty hyped up crowd , culling them all into the same rhythmic vibration. You could feel the waves moving through every single person on the floor. He built it up slowly but to the point of perfection. Like incredible intimacy that you only achieve after gaining enough wisdom and patience, forged in the crucibles of life. Built up to the perfect moment where adrenaline was peak... and than boom! The drop. The deep, hard driven drop that rips right through every wall you built and all the defences you'd thought you had. The strobe hits, light show kicks only adding to absurd insanity of the moment. Had a tear or two that snuck through, not born of sadness but yet full the pure awesomeness of being connected to every single soul in the crowd intimately. It was like a tidal wave of release. An emotional wave pulled from within each of us. It was incredible and something that changed me permanently. I'm thankful for it beyond measure. I'm aware of the allegations and drama surrounding him. I've not heard if those allegations were validated or not but it has been repeated how narcissistic and arrogant he was. I've no doubt. I believe in people having the chance to grow and become better version of self. Given the opportunity to grow and learn from their shittyness. If that opportunity is squandered though and humility and perspectives haven't taken their shot, it's on them and they squander their gift. Dudes got the ability and talent to create experiences that can alter the lives of individuals positively. That power will show their true colors. Until given a reason not, Ill continue to follow his rebranding and comeback. The opportunity is there but yet to be seen if the maturity and wisdom n required to grab it has taken roots. Much love and light to you all.
