The Forte HP seriously has one of the most full, warm and natural drive channels I've ever heard on a modern amp. I absolutely love it!

I've been a Bergantino cab devotee for years, won't even try other cabs anymore, the balance they strike between warmth, punch, and articulation is unmatched by anything else I've heard. The heads are also outstanding as well.

I love this amp! It goes down to 2 ohms with no worries (when I get to play the big shows) and sounds incredible.

Great review, and great playing. Most important for me, is the different basses used, and the tones that can be achieved.

Ideas great. Sounds thin to me(2d) over the internet tbh. I really like how you can load different algorithms into it. But wish they would've used a tube pre on it, had some lights or something for the compressor so you know what the hell's going on(maybe like the dbx 160x? when you have the 2 lights flipping on/off in sync with each other, you know you've got your compression set correctly!). And it would be great to have the analog tube pre, but have solid state power amp section, and you can add the amp simulation algorithms to it to change it up tone wise. Like for instance you want more of an SSL type of sound to it, or Aguilar sound, or Fender sound or Ampeg sound etc. Toss that in there and boom you go it. Then on the 4 band eq section, say you want an SSL eq on the lows, then Trident on the low mids, then API on the mids, then Neve on the highs you can put in algorithms to do that! Same with the compressor say you want DBX 160 sound, or SSL Gcomp sound, or Neve 5254 sound, etc. Now that would be a great amp! But it would also need metering of some sort!!!!!!!!! There are no meters on here for anything! Would love to see a digital meter on here to see what type of eq sound your getting, post/pre switch as well to see both. And of course a compressor meter of some sort, even if it's 2 light's or something like DBX has as stated above. The going down to 2hohms should be a given now for every amp as I know I personally use 2cabs one a 4hm and one an 8ohm so that's what 2.4ohms or is it 2.6ohms? But whatever, the point being what if you have two 4 ohm cabs you wanna use in stereo? You should be able to do that! My dream bass amp would be what I've stated above, with an analog tube pre system(the digital modeling stuff still sounds 2d to me), and all the bells and whistles you could think of, but super easy to use so no manuals needed!

Not really digging the drive sound. Especially when cranked up. They just have that digital sound. Can't put my finger on it what it is specifically. More harsh. Digital effects have pretty much been able to reproduce everything over the years: modulation, filtering, time based, etc. But drives aren't quite there yet. Still amazingly better than 20 years ago, but not quite yet. There are some expensive ones that seem to have done it. But not this one to my ears.
