If you are someone that feels uncomfortable/angry/annoyed by Jackie for "always making things about race", consider that you may feel that way because you are not FORCED to be confronted about your race daily. You see one thread on twitter saying all white people are entitled and feel hurt being painted with a broad brush, and then come to my comment section and paint Jackie with a broader one. In the same way that you feel the need to voice your opinion here over one tweet, or a comment made in a video about this palette being designed with darker skin in mind, you can not expect a woman that is constantly having racist, abusive, reductive comments made to/about her to simply sit by silently when you yourself are not doing the same.

So glad someone with lighter skin finally used this palette. I don't understand why people are saying this palette can't be used by women with lighter skin. In truth, it's about time we have a palette that is thoughtfully designed to show well on women of color. Bought it over the weekend and it is quickly becoming my favorite. I don't own any ABH pallets at all. Being of darker complexion, I want to make sure I can use every color in a palette. This is the first palette I've ever wanted to buy! I hope people understand that all skin tones can use this palette, but no all skin tones get full use out of other paletts. (I also never got on the modern renaissance train becuase I was broke)

I don't do my eyeshadow as much lately so I was going to skip this palette but seeing all these uncalled-for comments about it make me want to buy it just to support Jackie. I'm fair as can be and know damn well these eyeshadows will work just fine for me. This shouldn't even be an issue and I appreciate Sam for being an example of this.

This is my 5th ABH palette and 52nd total palette. It’s in my top 5 already. I love it! And I am more than happy to have to take my time to make it work for me because the shades are darker and more pigmented than others I have. When I heard the shades of the shadows being described. Personally I was so overjoyed. Yes I’m a pale fair skinned woman. However I’m am a mixture of Indian, Mongolian, Native American. As a person who has lived all over the world. The entire world is not white. Perhaps the people making all these revolting remarks. Live in a sheltered world. Go out and seek friends who are not of your race and just see how different not to mention difficult this world is to them.

I absolutely appreciate that you zoom all the way in for eye looks, so we can ACTUALLY SEE what you're doing, however, that also means that we spend a large amount of time watching the top of your scalp. Which makes me laugh. Feels intimate.
