Real world plumbing carries on at the bathroom renovation as I attempt to trim the side from a back to the wall pan to allow access for the waste pipe.... this what we have to do sometimes in the real world of plumbing
Also we get the shower tray fitted and the plasterer turns up at the wrong house…..

When the customer wants a back to the wall pan but you need the side entry space for the waste pipe……. This is what needs to be done in the real world…🙌🏼🙌🏼 So just to clarify some pointers as I know they will come up- The pan is still strong enough to use, it’s not an issue. The customer made the decision to try it. Moisture boards are fine to use. The tiler is tanking the area before it’s tiled. The holes in the ceiling have now been covered over with the new ceiling…. Told you🤣 Please get subscribed to the channel…. Exciting news is coming very soon😉😉

Thanks mate….. Yep the holes would be tighter however sometimes it’s good to have a slightly larger hole for a bit of movement and I will always fit talon pipe covers over these pipes anyway so it’s not an issue. Waterproofing Mapei style will require to put Waterproofing tape and corners before the tray, prime the surface underneath and apply two coats of a Waterproofing, then put the tray in, apply sealant behind the tray, and on top as you did, and then carry on with Waterproofing above the tray. That is Waterproofing properly done, otherwise it's not perfect, but I assume nobody is🤔👍

@@MJTiffPlumbing I'm not perfect. Agree on this. Please take the time and read again my comment. Waterproofing ( Mapei style ) , not necessarily Mapei. If because of the movement, and there will be some movement, as you expect on wooden structure, this seal around the tray will split over time , then the water will go behind and damage whatever is under this tray. It's not rocket science. I'm using common sense. Been doing this nearly 20 years. And to be honest I never watch tutorials of any brands, just using common sense. So far this never let me down. And I didn't want to play Mr clever man. Just sharing my opinion. Don't take it to seriously " mate " 😉

This has happened to me but just changed the toilet didn’t think cutting was an option. Also this week I have had a hansgrohe rain shower the same as you did and your video of the first fix was so much help I looked through the instructions but it just wouldn’t go in to my head then watched the video and it all made sense. Not looking forward to the second fix.

Keep that rag away from the grinder, if it grabs it will eat or break your fingers before you know what's happening. Get a tilers sponge, holds more water and the blade will abrade it or cut it without and v work of it grabbing and entangling you.

Back To Wall Toilet? Close To Wall Toilet? Fully Shrouded Toilet? Closed Back Toilet? What would you call it? As a supplier we try not to call these a Back To Wall toilets as a BTW toilet is for furniture or concealed cisterns, but often hear them called lots of different things including closed coupled back to wall toilets as in this video, but would be nice to see what everyone else would call these.

I do my own tiling bud, only time I install a tanking kit is if the manufacturer of wetroom specifies- in order to guarantee their warranty. Just seems pointless to me tanking things- if water gets behind the grout or tiles there is a huge problem so need to start again anyway 🤷‍♂️👍 Great video as always mate, really enjoy watching people living the dream like me 🤦‍♂️🤣👍

No, no ,no, absolutely not. You should never cut or even try to alter a ceramic pan. This will create weak points in the ceramic which can cause the pan to shatter when it is sat on. There are photos and videos in the health and safety world which show the devastating effects on human flesh when a pan shatters.
