Batman: Arkham Origins is a 2013 video game developed by Warner Bros. Games Montréal and released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 video game consoles, and Microsoft Windows. Based on the DC Comics superhero Batman, it is the successor to the 2011 video game Batman: Arkham City, and the third installment in the Batman: Arkham series. It was released worldwide on October 25, 2013.note
Arkham Origins moved development away from series creators Rocksteady Studios, and is written by Corey May and Dooma Wendschuh. The game's main storyline is set five years before that of 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum and follows a younger and less refined Batman who has a bounty placed on his head by crime lord Black Mask, drawing eight of the world's greatest assassins to Gotham City on Christmas Eve. The game is presented from the third-person perspective with a primary focus on Batman's combat and stealth abilities, detective skills, and gadgets that can be used in both combat and exploration. Arkham Origins is the first game in the series to feature multiplayer gameplay.
A companion game, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, was released alongside Arkham Origins for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. A spin-off game of the same name for iOS and Android platforms was released in October 2013.

TheRiordane Sometimes there is, sometimes he actually likes her, but he's crazy and loses that admiration to her because of his obsession with Batman. I think that's partly why she wants to get rid of Batman so Joker will pay attention to her, but without Batman, Joker doesn't have a reason to live, and Harley doesn't have a reason to live beyond the Joker, so it's a vicious circle really.

They have a very interesting and complex relationship really. It seems that everytime Harley is not around him he actually talks as if he misses and loves her even and moments feel sad she's gone. And in some cases he would get jealous if Harley says she's fallen for someone else (she's lying). But when she is around he beats her and treats her like garbage. I guess this is how a madman loves. And Harley started off as a lonely woman and when Joker came into her life he made her laugh and told her his life (which may have been lies as he always changes the story of his life) and then she pitied him (lol he has her wrapped around his finger) and made her feel like someone was listening to her and showed her fun and excitement beyond what she could ever imagine. Before she knew it she let loose and became a new and darker woman forever being misused by the Joker, but there are a couple times she beat his ass and tried to kill him as well LOL. Well, after Joker died I believe she actually settled down and created a family with someone else but then her granddaughters became criminals just like her lol.

@@Scarshadow666 they recently revealed they thought about portraying Nora frost as dead and her body is just floating in there but bruce timm and others were like fuck that's way too dark, and mr freeze is really a dude you can feel for, just listen to him say he longs to feel the warmth of his wife's hand in his but he cant because he's geneticly messed up, her human warmth would kill him and she has an uncurable disease so he keeps her frozen, he's basically immortal and wants to save his wife and he never gives up

Something that I found interesting about this part of the game was that if you look at the two guards in the room using detective vision it shows that they are nervous but if you look at Harley it says she is calm. Its probably nothing but I thought it was interesting

Well she was turning insane. Plus she was eerily calm by the way that she walked and just how chill she was when batman got her out of the rope. Love how the game shows that, very eery foreshadowing.

My guess is that Harleen became an undercover agent for Joker, helped him escape and let herself be taken hostage when Joker assured her no harm would come to her.

This may be a bit late, but if you haven't already, you should read the "Harleen" comic by Stjepan Sejic. It's the best version of Harley Quinn's origin story I know of, and the art is pretty good too.

"I've had enough for one day" That's where you can definitely hear Tara Strong. I agree that Arleen's voice sounds better. But you can't totally blame Tara since it was Rocksteady that wanted her to not do an impression of Arleen's Harley, and now this is what we will probably end up in this game.

This is good voice direction, every time I here Tara Strong's Harley Quinn it's always to high pitch and squealy. Her voice is supposed to fluctuate when she's talking not stay at a glass shattering deafening levels.

I like see this Harley in the Arkham games, it shows she was smart and not just an air head crazy about joker. My only gripe is that her and Joker's meeting is different than what we hear in the Asylum tapes.

But not completely contradictory. Joker says “I’m your first?” in the interview tapes, but he could have meant as an Arkham patient. He’s been manipulating her since Origins, and that’s why she sounds crazy in the interview tapes. By the time of the tapes, she’s ripe for the easy manipulation and final catalyst to become Harley Quinn!

You what would be awesome? An alternate universe where Joker was still the Red Hood and is a good guy. His "butler" or "sidekick" would be Harleen Quinzel, and she'd probably be the brains while she's in house and Red Hood's outside doing some dirty work. World's greatest detectives plus some psychology mixed in between. Bent but not broken. I wish.

How cool would it be to play Harley! Like seriously! Margot Robbie is such a lucky girl! I mean, you have the normal Harleen Quinzel to play and then you transform yourself to a crazy and funny clown, which is awesome! This is why I truly love Harley! Paul Dini, what a GENIUS man! She was my favorite when I was little and still is! Very funny how bitchy she was to Batman, I would have done the same. Being a villain is so much fun!

Ok. Why in the comics do they refuse to advance Harley Quinn's character/story. It's just an endless cycle of fan-service and gimmicks like a bad lazy sitcom. Harley's one of the best characters in DC yet they use her for nothing more than a living subplot device and sex symbol. I WANT TO SEE HARLEY QUINN BECOME FREAKING BATGIRL (tell me that wouldn't be an interesting turn of events)!!

Morgan Freeman you are a genius. And ya I know...I hate the new comics they have her in. To be honest though, I love her with the Joker more than being the next Batgirl. A lot of people think she needs to toughen up, but she can't just disconnect herself from the Joker like that. I feel like they both need eachother. Even though he throws her out she goes to Ivy then eventually comes back and they're all lovey dovey...I still love that relationship. They really do need to step her up though. Have you ever read the original Harley Quinn comics? They are great!

I’m pretty sure Harley being in this game at all is kinda a plot hole. In Asylum the tapes you find reference her to having met Joker in the Asylum, not at Blackgate. Maybe it is sort of an undercover act that she played, but I really doubt it.

That's totally Tara Strong...which actually makes me a little sad. Don't get me wrong, I loved Arkham City, beat it, played the dlc, etc. But every time I hear her Harley, I just don't buy it. It just sounds as if Timmy Turner and Twilight Sparkle had a spoiled kid in Brooklyn. I miss Arleen Sorkin's voice, it had a lower and warmer tone to me.
