It's amazing how influential this series was. Think of all the stuff it established: Harley (seriously, it's easy to forget that the animated series invented her), Harley and Ivy's iconic friendship, Mr. Freeze's tragic backstory (before that he was just a cold-themed crook), etc.

***** My idea would be 1 film on each of the Gotham City Sirens members; Revenge of the Sith/Anakin-esque tragic hero's fall stories for Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, a Catwoman movie similar to the way she was portrayed in Batman Returns, and then an Avengers style Gotham City Sirens movie with them all teaming up and trying to redeem themselves. I think it could kick ass.

Am I the only one whose having a hard time comprehending how in the past 15 or 20 years since this episode's airing no one has even considered making a movie dedicated to Harley and Ivy's relationship. I mean my God, we know everything there is to know about Batman but we still know very little about Harley despite the fact that she's been part of the Batman cannon for at least 20 years now. And Ivy, if the Joker is the yang to Batman's yin then Ivy is the yin to Harley's yang. The movie doesn't have to be a les fest, though that probably wouldn't do much harm to it, it just needs to explore the chemistry between the 2nd and 3rd greatest female villains of all time. That would be more than enough for me (just so long as Uma Thurman doesn't play Ivy again)

I know that they outright kiss in DC Bombshells, which is an ongoing series set in a WWII universe and focused on a number of alternate versions of the female characters (who are apparently awesome, if what little I could garner from DC Comics Wiki is the case), as they stay and guard the "home front". Kate Kane and Maggie Sawyer also get to have a relationship there, which means there's two pairs of queer ladies that get to be together in the same book! so needless to say I've been meaning to pick that one up... ;)

Poison Ivy's such a hypocrite. Harps on humanity for polluting the earth and killing her precious plants but still chooses to drive a car? Did the other villains make fun of her getaway 10-speed? Could she not use vines to sub for a whip or a grappling hook to get around the city, or is she just the only Batman character who didn't go to college on a gymnastics scholarship that conveniently prepped her for her unplanned future career?

The poison ivy is the tv series its so different than the ivy comics. In comics ivy always uses her plants for transporting, protection and attack. She love it so much. In the tv series she does a stupid actions

This episode is a monument to animated television. As a television moment this has stuck for nearly twenty years, and it's aged so well. If they started putting this much effort in to the writing in animated shows I can guarantee adults would start watching them again.

+MyWorldOrder I understand. I liked Harley and Ivy for their friendship, but I can't envision them going beyond platonic love. I also felt a bit unnerved when they made Catwoman bisexual. Story-wise, I don't get it. And this is coming from someone who's a fan of Deadpool, Garnet, and Korrasami.

+MyWorldOrder It's better with them just being friends only just because I picture Poison Ivy being too serious and fanatical too often with Harley being the opposite. I can't picture them being sexually attracted to each given their quirky opposite natures. It would be like making the Joker and Wonder Woman a couple.
