That was one of the elements on Man of Steel I appreciated, that it focused on Lois investigating "the Superman" (and that she essentially created the name of Superman; implied, not explicit) and that she knew Clark was he. There's always been a focus on Lois being a girlboss but that was the first time I felt Lois wasn't treated as a dipshit. I love Margot but...her Lois isn't smart. In fact, her characterisation in those films arguably set the character back, though those films have set Superman back a lot; we're still recovering from the damage they did.

Casually Comics Continuity pleases me. It pleases me greatly. The Lois Lane stalker rooms, however, give me pause and genuine fear. Run Lois... run. That animated Bats/Supes crossover should have been the live action movie.

This sounds like an interesting story, but I'm not sure I would like them to delve too far into it. Possibly because of prominent stereotypes of the time (and even now, come to think of it) writing a committed relationship for these costumed hero's would bring forth a lot complications for a comic book story (I believe you covered this with Spider Man and Mary Jane). There would always be the question of "...what's happening at home?". Either the spouse is involved with some (giggle) with baby and dog in tow. Or it's boring house work, shopping, PTA meetings (that he's missed again), soap operas, and drinking wine with the other house bound spouses. Although, some of those side 1969 stories might be pretty interesting. What if Lois was friends with the wives of other hero's and villains and they were all keeping secrets about their husbands identities. The round and round explanations of why someone's husband is not there, the loud noises that were coming from the house, obvious artifacts that clearly lay out the secret identity of the husband but nobody can put their finger on what it means. Yeah...that might be hilarious.

Now that's timing. I'm taking notes working through DC's history and I just came upon this issue in maybe the last half hour. I have to say, I love this stuff. Having grown up during the late silver age, this is the kind of thing that happened in a lot of my earliest comics. Heck, I'm one of those people who actually has fond memories of Mod Wonder Woman. Gotta say, I do appreciate your taste in comic book oddity. :-)

Do I like these stories? I guess I'd have to admit I do, if only because I was buying them as they came out in the 60's & 70's. And I know why I enjoy them now, but I'm can't recall my logic back... oh wait, I guess I can... back then I was just a kid who used his allowance and earnings to by every title with links to Batman & Superman. (At least that was my story.) Of course they were a lot less expensive too. As always thank you so very much for the video.
