I love Batman! I like to think of Year One, Monster Men, and Mad Monk as an unofficial trilogy.

Remember Shaman has flashbacks that tie in with Year One

Now THIS is my dream collection! How long have you been reading/collecting?

I’ve been reading for 20 years or so but started seriously adding to my collection during COVID. What’s you’re collection looking like? I found lots of brilliant articles online and videos on KZfaq to help steer me, learning about canon and chronological order

@@adrianrussell5169That’s super cool to hear! Right now I only have about 14 Batman tpbs/hardcovers and yeah it is sometimes tedious to decide which continuities to buy and such. Regardless, I hope to reach the numbers of your collection!

@@antoniothealien every collection starts somewhere. Personally I would suggest bringing up IGN’s list of top 25 Batman books (you’ll probably already have some) and add these to your collection. After that there are a lot of good lists and online articles to keep you right. Happy collecting!

Beautiful! Whish to have that some day. What exactly is the book behind Year One that says Secret Origins?
@adrianrussell5169 Жыл бұрын
It’s Secret Origins of the World's Greatest Super-Heroes by Mark Waid. It overlaps Frank Miller’s year one as well as the origin stories of other DC heroes

This is unbelievably impressive! I’ve started my own collection, and I’m now up to the introduction of Jason Todd as Robin. Where did you find the majority of your tpbs? (I’ve been getting mine from eBay primarily)

Thank you for your comments! I’m needing to do an updated video as I’ve been adding to my Elseworlds as well as collecting the BTAS trades, Black & White volumes and a some missing titles. I’m the very same, eBay is brilliant, especially for bargains. Just keep an eye on the descriptions, conditions and how the books are shipped. I search every other day on eBay under Batman TP, Batman TPB, Batman paperback etc and scroll through looking for what I need and are good prices, or if there is a specific book, just search that title. Have a max price in mind as rarer titles can be cheaper searching Google and going to book shop sites directly. Amazon is great for new releases too as you can pre-order paperbacks that are only out in hardcover. Happy collecting and more importantly, happy reading!

Only Grant Morrison’s The Invisibles (strongly recommend) and Frank Miller’s Sin City run. Gotham seems to be my happy place
