Nice job, highly recommended Easy drive concrete screws ' drill and screw them in. Ideal for fixing timber to block etc. I think I saw you using them when you installed the PVC door ?! You can Find them at Screw fix or all builders Merchants. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Scott I used them quit a while ago when fitting a bifold (they came with them) and I really did like them. I think I’ll used them for the next one. For the pvc door we had used the long screws with the wall plug attached. 👍🏾

Nice job guys. After the fact, I know but on a project like that it's typical to go with with 3 x 2 battens (nominal 75 x 50) and 600mm centres.

Great work. Is it 4x2 battons? And what size insulation you intend to use in between ?
@kevinhancock40646 ай бұрын
Nice work guys ..ive read an air gap is best behind insulation i assume this build dont have 1 as studs /batons are fixed direct to wall?.

Great instructional video. Is the wall double bricked or just a single layer of concrete bricks? I am looking at insulating our downstairs which was the old coal store and is single brick so wondering if applying insulation directly to the wall without an air gap would work?

Hey bro, concrete screws (cheap as chips) drill and screw straight in, no plugs needed, self tapping, look it up.
@darrenthebuilder2 жыл бұрын
Hey good idea I’ve used them before but not used them in a while Though. I’ll check out the prices and see how they stack up 👍🏾

@paddy foley How do you fit the insulation behind the plasterboard if you dot and dab? I'm no joiner/builder but looking to put up my DIY garden room, just like this, next year. I've seen dot and dab and it looks a.lot harder than fitting battens with PIR between them.
@jp69752 жыл бұрын
@paddy foley thanks for that. Some evening viewing for me tonight! 1👍

@@darrenthebuilder 6mm drill bit and you get the torque bit with the screws. You can get them in screwfix. It will save you so much time. 👍🏼

Do you need to insulate between in the stud?
@darrenthebuilder2 жыл бұрын
Hi just between the studs. You could use insulated plasterboard over for added if you want
