For optimal use/preserve health ratio charge from 30 to 85%. Never leave phones/tablets/laptops in direct sunlight or in a hot car. Look through your settings, you might find a "limit battery charge" option. Some laptops have a battery utility program that allows you to stop charging once the battery reaches a certain percentage. This is especially useful for people who almost never disconnect their laptop from the charger. Set it to 50-65%, if you're one of those people, since this is the best charge state for stored lithium ion batteries. Only fast charge when you're in a hurry. Follow this advice strictly and enjoy >95% capacity after 2 years.

Charge between 30% and 85%: Keeping your devices within this range can help prolong the overall lifespan of the battery. Avoid consistently letting the battery level drop too low or charging it to 100% regularly. Avoid direct sunlight and hot cars: Heat can have a detrimental effect on battery health, so it's essential to keep your devices away from direct sunlight or extremely hot environments like cars, as this can cause damage to the battery. Check for "limit battery charge" option: Some devices have settings that allow you to limit the battery charging level. This feature can be handy if you often keep your laptop connected to the charger. Setting it to a lower level, like 50-65%, can help optimize battery health for long-term storage. Utilize battery utility programs: Certain laptops may come with battery utility programs that offer additional customization options. These programs can include features such as stopping the charging process once the battery reaches a specific percentage. This feature is particularly useful for individuals who rarely disconnect their laptops from the charger. Fast charge sparingly: While fast charging can be convenient when you're in a hurry, it generally generates more heat and can contribute to faster battery degradation. To optimize battery health, it's advisable to reserve fast charging for when you genuinely need it and opt for regular charging most of the time.

Unfortunately, I found your video a little too late. I used to keep my phone plugged in during the day not even thinking I was damaging the battery. I just ordered the S22 Ultra and I'm upgrading from my Galaxy S10. I went through the battery health and phone health application on my S10 and it clearly told me that the battery is weak and it needs to be replaced. So this sparked my interest and made me wonder was there anything that I did over the years that caused the battery to be in such poor condition. For a majority of my phone's lifespan It was fast charged. About a year to 2 years ago I stopped fast charging my phone and started using a regular wattage charger. Hopefully that gave my battery a little bit more life but it's time to trade up. Thank you for posting this video This really help me.

I use a Nexus 6p with android oereo. I noticed that if I charge it to 90% or anywhere below 100% it finds it hard to calculate the estimated time, it will not drop correctly, because the estimated will keep changing and prematurely drops the percentage. However, whenever I charge it at a 100%, it drops normally. Something weird is probably going on with the device health service app. It's funny because if the percentage drops because of the ET when I pluged it in after using it, I will see it jumping for example from 20% to 27% is like the 7% of the battery telling me "here we are. we are not dead, just hiding." do anyone have any ideas?

What made me move from wired charging to wireless is USB-C slots eventually just...stop working properly. After 3 or 4 years of use, my Oneplus 5T's USB-C socket, while clean, just started to refuse to charge or detect when plugged in. You had to push the cable in really hard to get the phone to detect it was connected, and then would charge, but wouldn't fast charge, and the cable would only work when plugged in one way up, if you flipped it over it wouldn't detect anything. Really annoying.

Listen … my battery drains by its self from 89% down normally … however the moment I charge it to 90% or higher it doesn’t move. I have to turn my phone off then back on but let’s say I charge it to 96% I can be on it for a hour it’ll stay at 96% but when I turn it off and right back on it may jump to 96% then it starts to go down normally. I think it’s so weird I don’t know why it’s doing that. Or let’s say if I charge my phone in the 90% and power it off and on it jumps to a higher percentage in the 90 range. It only does this when it’s in the 90% ‘s I use the fast charger been using it since I got my phone. Any answers to why. I have a iPhone 14 pro max

I don't understand what is correct on this topic. The method expressed in this video is what I started doing with my Galaxy S9 after 14 months of use, and that's actually when I started seeing the battery life degrade to what it is now (battery will start quickly plummeting down as early as at 65%). On the flip side, I was told by a battery store to instead always charge up to 100% when possible, and never dip below 50% (something to do with life cycles that they explained). Of course though, they're in the business of selling batteries, but it speaks to the conflicting accounts on this topic.

Yeah, I usually charge until like 95-ish% - Like why have a big battery if youre barely using it on one hand - on the other hand why ruin it even more just to get these last couple of percents. I usually just keep an eye on temps. If I do a full fast charging cycle in one run 2-100% which takes around 20 Minutes (Xiaomi 12 Pro @120W with boost charging turned on) my battery reaches peak temperatures of upto 46°C but doesnt sit there long. Especially the first 50% go up super fast (takes just over 6 minutes) and thats where it reaches these temps. Since the battery is already filled up to some degree charging slows down more and more making the phone cool down - once at 65% the temps are at much cooler 40°C. And past 75% were back to 37°C - staying there. Should I be worried and rather only charge super fast if I'm in a hurry? I mean I paid for the super fast charging - I'm gonna use it anyway - I just wonder how much I should use it. I wanna stick with my phones usually 3-4 Years each. Oh yeah - usually I start charging when I'm in the 20-25% range - or when I go outside and I know I will need more battery than just 70% (this most of the time actually is enough).

Quick charging risk to battery wear is overrated. Let's say, a 65W 0-80 charge is likely to get the battery to around 42°C tops, a 30W one would go something like 37°C. To a 100 percent temperature will actually decrease in both situations due to how charging has to be done. And they stay at this elevated temperature for just a very short period during it's lifespan. But about charging it to 100 percent only when necessary, it's good advice.

One hack that has kept my phone battery life longer than usual is using a battery limiter device called Chargie. It manages my battery’s charge levels by capping it at a healthier level by maintaining the battery within that sweet spot. So, it can significantly extend the battery life and I get better long-term performance out of my phone.

My cell phone I presumed already has factory setting to detect low battery power. Therefore if I did inadvertently reach at a "0%" juice left......again, then my cell phone would prompt me and indicate, " slow charge" or change to the correct charger cable. Some other warning similar to it. The battery is good, not the same though. Factory setting, not that much. Battery will charge on your phone, but not the same way. Stop and charge up on point, once you predict or see that you've reach below this mark. Zero < 30% battery power left. Stay above 30 > though to avoid the batteries reserve warning. I noticed that my phone charged at a higher rate just before I reach 30% hurdle or mark. If I paid attention. Sadly, charging below 30% reserve, forced me to charge it up (slow), I would then overlook the, " slow charging" or the "incorrect charger cable" prompts by powering off. The battery will charge quicker. Either way I had to eventually replace the battery. Less of a hussle that way.

Been under charging my battery to 75-80% and using a slow (low wattage) charger and I'm at 98% battery health after 221 charging cycles. By comparison my spouse charges to 100% all the time with the same model phone and his is at 93% after 231 cycles ... Doesn't sound like much but that is a 5% difference in almost a year.

2:15 don't modern phones automatically detect a full charge and stop charging? That way leaving it charging overnight dosen't do anything to the battery. That's what I have heard multiple times from online tech articles from sites like Forbes, Tech Insider and others...Now I'm seriously confused.

That should dramatically reduce the cell standby. .. try this options bro.. even i was getting a drain on battery sometimes on my new device.. i did this settings and turned off the options for wifi scanning and bluetooth scannning when the phone is locked.. i think it has helped me a lot i will update u if doing this has helped me or not . Phones today are all smart they manage the charging and when it is at 100% it stops my phone does have that charge to only 80% but looking into this it might add few days of battery during its entire life, I don't think that it is worth 20% of your batteries charge. The best thing you can do is to try and never let your battery die that is really hard on them everything else just let the phone handle it.
