Love a brutal review because I watch to know which to buy! I bumped into your review about a week after I came to the same conclusion. I am super pale and cool toned, using the lightest shades of foundation. I tried Laura Mercier in Rose Gold and Au Naturel and returned them. You were right and they didn’t even work on my pale skin. I saw some reviews afterwards that said the formula seems to have changed for the worse. All I wanted was something to scribble and blend to neutralize blue and red veins since my skin is also transparent. A neutral base. I am allergic to something in MAC Paintpots or I’d use Painterly. LM didn’t show up well, what did creased easily and wore off my hooded lids. Same as you said. I then bought Bobbi Brown in Nude Beach and Shore and they are perfection, both matte with a little life- almost satin. I now have Moonstone and Golden Bronze for a champagne and Taupe shimmer. My quest was over then, but I saw your video pop up and I was curious if you found the same issues and you did! Loved how you put them through a week long trial, without primer on bare lids. I am sick of reviews that are first impressions and screeching about how they’re “obsessed”. You did a fantastic job and thank you!❤

Brutally honest is good too. I loved the ease of applications, so I've amassed about 70 shadow sticks from Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, By Terry's Ombre, Chanel, Mally, Lancome, Nars, Kiko, Elf, Beauty Pie and Charlotte Tilbury. And I can easily say the cream of the crop for me are Laura Mercier's caviar sticks. I find the blendability second to none and the color ranges blows every other shadow sticks out of the water. It looks like shimmering molten liquid on me and doesn't crease on my oil slick eyelids. Bobbi Brown does have the best staying power, but they can be patchy and they set too fast, so they are reserved for heavy duty needs like long flights. Overall, I prefer LM shimmers and BB mattes.

I really appreciate this review! Although I don't workout w/ makeup on, I bartend for 8-10 hrs on the weekends. I'm pulling the trigger on Bobby Brown shadow. 🎉🎉

I have very oily eyelids and the Laura Mercier sticks work well for me. I do tend to wear them as a base to my powder eyeshadows, but they also last well on their own. I have a couple of the Bobbi brown ones and I feel that they do not last as long. Saying that do feel that some LM shades are better than others. In the past I had to return a few because they were rubbish.

I recently just got the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow sticks, and I love them so far. I have 6 colors so far, and the staying power is exceptional. I do wish they’d come out with more shades with the finish of Truffle (non-sparkly shimmer). Great review!

I've been using caviar sticks for a year or two now and love them, no problems at all. I have a Bobbi Brown shadow stick coming now, anxious to compare them.

Great video. You came up with some creative ways to test and film, thank you! I'm a big fan of the Bobbie Brown sticks, I have 11 of them now and want to get more LOL. I'm new to trying the Laura Mercier and have 2 colours. I tried one yesterday and it stayed okay. I so love the way Bobbie Brown sticks blend too, but find I do have to blend right away before they set. What colours are you wearing on your eyes in the last segment? Looks beautiful.

Completely 100% agree. Laura Mercier also has a limited colour range, particularly in the Matt's.
