Just throw some Dark Catseyes on some level and people will flock back. Also it's funny that PONOS made QoL Update for Labyrinth but never schedule it afterward so we never have the taste of it

A while ago I had an idea on how to fix LQ or at least to incentivize more players to finish it. Basically after beating Mecha bun bun you would unlock a special shop that uses crown as currency. The shop would sell things like rare tickets, battle items, cateyes (including legend and dark cateyes) and maybe even an exclusive special unit (but not actually a good unit, more like a UR dump unit).

Legend Quest is a very fun concept but powercreep has most certainly made a lot of the legend quest stages underwhelming Would be fun to see that format for other types of stages like advent bosses

I think it would be even more fun if your cats are constantly being rerolled throughout the stage at random intervals so you have to change up your strategy on the fly. Us end game players could also use an uncanny legend quest that drops dark catseyes and Z-materials and stuff like that.

honestly I still prefer legends quest to labyrinth because i don't have to spend an entire minute or more editing my lineup between every single stage

One time I was playing Challenge Battle for fun. I beat it at a decent time, but the thing is, right before I beat the level, the game glitched out. All the enemies restarted spawning, the EoC Moon theme started, and also, it said that I had gained millions of XP, but I didn’t get any XP. Battle Cats is broken ngl

I do like the idea of when you finish Legend Quest, you can cash in your crowns for something like, I don't know, rare cat tickets, legend catseyes, dark catseyes, etc.

I think a way to make the mode better could be having stages with certain categories it goes into, like level 30 will only have your team switch with super rares and specials.

They could make the crowns be able to used to increase a stage difficulty for better rewards (increasing their mags) so if you feel condifent you can defeat lets say, 3* Swim meet with a randomized line up then you can pay the extra crowns to do so and get better rewards if you do clear it. The risk is obviously losing with the line up and losing the extra crowns used to increase the maps difficulty. I think this will give an interesting challenge for endgame players to make use of their excess crowns to get the best rewards but still have enough to regularly clear LQ.

If maybe there is a way to exchange leftover crowns for items that would be more appealing. It can be Battle Items, Catseyes, Catamin, Building Materials, or maybe even XP And i kind of understand early SoL levels are outdated it become crap, bringing wave and surge on those levels are SS-tier help to cut those spammy peons.

This isn't so much of a comment about how to make Legend Quest better but more of a hot take on battle cats that has Legend Quest prove quite the interesting point...and this is quite the read so get comfy while reading this. I honestly think that Battle cats in general has a sort of "Make it work with the units that you have" sort of deal to it. Let me flesh it out a bit with my own personal example. Basically I never really had to look up a guide for anything (as i managed to beat Bun Bun boss fight with "brute force" by spamming the hell out of Frosty Kai with the help of the cat god no cooldown boost) and just generally did my own thing to progress up until the point where i felt like i hit a wall with progressing. It's then that i looked at a guide for help with fighting the floor 30 heavenly tower boss and i saw a lineup that i just didn't have. It wasn't until i saw a thumbnail with Tourist cat and Healer Cat CC that i went "huh, i have those units, wonder what they did here" and so i looked at the video for a brief moment and saw those two stun-locking the boss permanently that i actually went with it and actually won the fight. That's actually the moment where i opted to look at guides more often but i kept on seeing things that i just can't do since i either A: Don't have the unit unlocked or B: i don't have their true form (example being i still don't have bullet train unlocked. I have the unit i just don't have that form even though i am rank 9962 (as of making this comment)) That's when i realized that the main goal is to just defeat the base in the end. There's no added thing like a time limit or a perfect run where your base is left untouched, it's just to defeat the other base, whether it be by cheesing it or not, and there are a PLETHORA of different ways of doing it. That and how the randomness of Gacha units and uber super rare draws comes into play too. For the longest time i had Wargod Amakusa be the only reliable uber rare unit to defeat blacks and Aku's since i never managed to draw Pizza cat from Gacha. So i relied upon him for blacks and Aku's since i had no other units that could deal massive damage to those. Sure i could've used Swashbuckler Kanna for blacks...IF I HAD HER AT THAT TIME! And that's the thing with Guides. Sure it may show off a surefire way of defeating the base but in the end it only works if you actually have those units and those forms for the units. And that's why i say that Legend Quest is such a good proving point, it clearly shows off a sort of "alright here's what you get, now make it work" mentality. It's just highly exaggerated with giving you random units during the fight. In any other stage it's the same thing but to a lesser degree since you have a plethora of units but might not have the specific units that a guide uses, so in other words you just have to make it work with defeating the base with the units that you have to choose from.

Make a ul version with 392 stars max from both and more desirable rewards, or any leftover stars from beating legend quest would transfer over

Maybe just make a secret 49th level with a rematch against Idi with a reward of 3 Dark Catseyes. That’s all the incentive you really need.

i feel like if they did make a uncanny quest it should be differnt concept then legend quest just because imagine you get a STUPID stage like ashes just ahead or gimmick stages it would just be too hard maybe they could make it so it doesnt cosat crowns to start the stage but it costs crowns too make less of your cats randomised for example like 0 crowns = all cats randomised 1 crown 8 cats randomised so on so on

i will always play legend quest, not becaus of the rewards, those are almost nothing foe me now, but because it's sucj an interesting idea, hoping you don't get killed by rng while also coming up with the dumbest way to win is so much more fun than starred UL, i will always do it

I'm not a hacker, but honestly I feel like hacking in battle cats is fine because you aren't actually getting anything out of it. It's not like there's pvp.

Idk man i'm quite the opposite here lol. Like yeah it does get kinda boring playing LQ stages but i still hate labyrinth because its freakin 100 stages. I get that its for leaderboards and all but damn its really not fun for me lol. For rewards, Labyrinth has worse rewards which is why i don't like playing it, It's just xp and catseye. Sure there's darkcatseye for late game players but for me...that's kinda pointless for most other players. The thing what i like about LQ is that i can get a lot of battle items from this. There's cat ticket and legend catseyes yeah but main appeal is the battle items. Idk maybe im lazy to farm them manually but hey free loot. I definitely prefer LQ over Labyrinth for event gameplay but I see the point you're making. Kinda surreal kmowing this event was released years ago. 19:51 btw Mecha Bun wasn't nerfed because of LQ. It was nerfed because of Idi's release. Ponos thought that it's hard for players to beat mechs bun 4* so they nerfed it lol

Kinda like this more than labyrinth as that takes forever to clear and you need to be decisive of your units to bring in order to make it to floor 100. I wish they would tell us what stage each floor is tho as sometimes you need the original lineup for that specific stage and have to find it in SOL
