Restriction: Ubers/LRs not allowed.
Just watch my video on the original Wanwan stage for this one. It’s literally the exact same thing but again.

Top Dog (Insane):
Truly one of the Insane stages of all time. This stage stays mostly similar to the original, just with different enemies. Instead of 2 Capies, there are now 3 Zapies and 3 Gobbles with Pigeons and Coffin Zoges as support. This combination of enemies alongside Wanwan is very scary, but thankfully we now have our full 50 cat limit to utilize. The startoff is really important here and there are a few visual timings you need to know to optimize the start. When the first Pigeon crosses Wanwan, send in Bullet Train, then wait 1 second and spawn Slime. Then, once Gobble passes Coffin Zoge, spawn Fishman. This should allow Slime and Fishman to both hit Gobble and allow Slime to snipe the next Pigeon with its Wave. Then spawn a Slime when Gobble passes Coffin Zoge and wait for Gobble to get a considerable distance ahead of Coffin Zoge to spawn Fishman. If you do this right, the first Gobble will die as Zapy approaches the frontline. Lure it to your base and use Btrain to snipe the Pigeon and go all in with Chadbear and Chief on it. Make sure to send in Slime preemptively to snipe the next Pigeon so it doesn’t mess with your stack.
After this, carefully send in Fishman and Slime to deal with the Gobbles and try to snipe Zkills on Coffin Zoge with Chadbear. The stage will go incredibly smooth if you can prevent Gobble and Zapy from stacking up together. Repeat the process twice, using Slime and Cyberpunk to keep Wanwan back and once the last Zapy is down, you get to have a victory lap taking down Wanwan before you finish the stage.

In his True Form, Rugby Cat becomes Gridiron Cat, gaining a 50% boost in HP, a 25% boost in Attack, Aku target, and Surge Immune. Gridiron gains a very valuable niche as an anti-Aku attacker, something that is very rare at the moment. While his stats are still lackluster vs Black, vs Aku it’s an entirely different story. His 325 range, while not ideal against Aku as you want to outrange Fallen Bear, is enough to outrange other important Aku enemies such as Condemned Peng, Deathkory, Midnite D, and Medusan. Thanks to his new Surge Immunity, he isn’t even affected by their Surge attacks which would decimate most generalist answers to Aku enemies. The only main issue is that the lack of Aku treasures makes Gridiron still get 1-shot by a lot of Aku enemies, though this can be fixed through boost. Overall a good change of role for Rugby and a worthwhile TF.
