A sonic battle remake or sequel would be appropriate They have a good format here, if they try some new wacky experiment it might suck like most of the things ST put out since 2014

@@IronSK I agree. You honestly expect too much from Sega and Sonic Team at this point to put out literally ANYTHING with a semblance of quality to it. They always figure a way to F it up. Even a remake of this game, would be too much to expect from them. God it's sad really isn't it?

People might put down the repetition of boss fights, but people might forget it's a handheld title, so the way kids play the game is different from console, in a way it sorta made sense to just have more playtime.

It's confirmed in the Radio DC broadcast Sonic Battle Special. Oh, also the acid bass sounds quite like Cyber Track from Sonic Advance 3, which I'm 100% sure it's by Tokoi.

@Matthew Rosillo No it wouldn't (at least not for me). Learning a musical instrument takes dedication. I don't even know how to hold a guitar properly, let alone get the fingering right. I'm a procrastinator who isn't even good about keeping up with practicing the instrument I already kind of know how to play (piano).

@@MichaelSodaro As much as I kinda agree (assuming "gdlk" is short for "god-like"), the voice acting would probably _drive me nuts._ I once stumbled across gameplay footage here on KZfaq that was apparently a rom hack with "updated" sounds, as it looked like the actual original game but all the voice clips were swapped with similar lines from their current actors (or at least Sonic sounded like Roger Craig Smith and Shadow sounded like Kirk Thornton). Maybe it wasn't a hack- maybe the person just edited the video. Either way, I only saw a moment or two of it, but even that much *_bothered me so much more than it should've. >_>_*

@@MichaelSodaro that would be a wonderful to see it remade on new consoles like Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X, it would also have improvements like less isometric view and new features like random robots in the way of your path and you have to battle them. And maybe some new modes too. I should take notes 🤔

@@psionics321 It's his stage tho genius. Every character has a stage, and therefore a theme. They sometimes play during certain cutscenes, like when Shadow got into a philosophical argument with Sonic during the former's episode.

Its been probably 15 years since i played this game to death as a kid. And yet, I still randomly catch myself humming this song out of nowhere. This and the opening theme to Megaman 3 and the battle theme from Dragon quest ix No idea why these songs in particular have wriggled into my brain.
