My grand grandfather from austria was deployed into food supply corps for the sixth german army in 1941 and went on campaign to stalingrad. After surrender he was deported to a labour camp in sibiria. He was one of 6000 that got lucky to survive that time in sibiria and austrian government bought him free in 1955. he walked back all the way from russia to austria, got down on 44 kg weight, lived for three more years and never told anybody what he had gone through in both war and imprisonment, not even to his wife that was waiting 14 years until he returned home. Its a shame what our ancestors were driven into. Shooting each other is no answer. Let's never persue ourselves into war again. Putin is a pathetic warmonger. but merkel, hollande, obama, erdogan and entire NATO are even bigger bastards supporting regimes like israel, saudi arabia, qatar and al-qaida as well as daesh. for the purpose of geopolitical power, fossil ressources and market aquisition, million people had and still have to die. My grandpa was captured at august 1941. Just before german attack a mine exploded near him and his mind goes on black out. When he opens his eyes from concussion germans were surrounding him and he was captured. Released by USA Army by august 1944. Came back to USSR at january 1945. After a month of interrogations he was restored to his rank of leutenant and went back to the Red Army on frontlines. Was participian of Battle of Berlin. He spend in Sibeia 0 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 sec for his captivation. After the war he got many friends who visited our house. Many of them were captured because of causes of war or bad luck. None of them were sent to "awful" Siberia.
