The Battle of Kosovo took place on the 15th of June, 1389. The combined forces of Moravian Serbia, the District of Branković, the Kingdom of Bosnia, the Principality of Muzaka, the Knights Hospitaller, and more troops from Bulgaria, Greece, and Hungary fought against an Ottoman army twice their size. The result was a tactical draw. Both commanders, Prince Lazar and Sultan Murad I, died along with most of both armies, marking it not only as an extremely brutal battle that would stain the land for centuries to come, but also as an inspiration of courage and valor for Serb people all over the world.
