Well, you just answered practically every question I had. I've got the same exact Shur-Flo pump on my Twin Vee and it's completely dead. Was trying to determine the better (best ?) pump, and I was leaning towards the Rule brand anyway. THANK YOU !!!

Nice simple video showing removal and reinstall of the baitwell pump. Forgot to mention that you need to be a contortionist to do even the simplest of projects. Leave up to these manufacturer to make maintenance very difficult. As always great video and keep them coming.

Hi i just bought a stingray 195 fx and the lower line keeps filling the live well (fish tank) and then it stops. I don’t why it keeps filling when the entire boat is off. I don’t even use the live well because I don’t fish. Any recommendations?

Doing my 2003 GW Safarer this weekend. Any sugesstions? Have the Live well nearly out going back with all new fittings and hoses since I'm not sure when the last time they were replaced.

Wow, did you say the boat was just a year old but the pump was out of warranty? I thought most boats had at least a three year warranty. I learned something new.

They all have a 1 year warranty except Pursuit. They come with a 2 year warranty. The motors will come with a 3-6 year warranty depending on the promotions. 😊

Timely. I am replacing the livewell pump on my Marlin. I had the same unit on the shelf but I'll look at the Rule next time.

Yes you can. It has a secondary port for another pump.

My bait sentry just quit. Saw your video and would like to put in the rule tournament series. My problem is that the old shurflo pump runs on a 2 amp fuse and the tournament series requires a 2.5 amp fuse. Do you think I’m OK 3:07 Just upgrading my fuse from 2 amp to 2.5 A on my Boston whaler dauntless?

That will work just fine. The wiring can handle it and you are correct. Just match the fuse to the pump.

The water puppy bait pump is a useless piece. Rule also makes a brass based 1600, that thing is a beast.

You could but it would be low pressure with the little rule pumps. You would need something that was more than 2000 GPH.

You could but you can't just buy the motor. It's the whole assembly. I would change it to Rule but that's just my opinion.

Grady White warranty is poor...... Expensive boat and the customer keeps paying.!! 😭😭

You get one year on almost all manufacturers. Pursuit gives you 2 and the motors are 3-6 years. Grady White will cover most things that shouldn't happen after the first year but it depends on the problem.

Nothing really. It's a tapered pipe thread so either will work.

Why’s there water in that bilge?Thats a Grady -water should drain out before it gets down there…

The customer opens everything and washes it all down with fresh water. I thought the same thing but when I got there he was washing the compartments. More then most customers do☺️

@@JustinLeeMarine that’s an answer I can be ok with.That bilge should be bone dry so that makes perfect sense.He needs to get down there and sponge it out or it’ll get slimy. Part of the reason I let go of my Boston Whaler Conquest was because it ALWAYS had water in the bilge.it was fresh water from rain or cleaning but after almost 20 yrs of it always being wet down there all the steel straps that held the oil tank in place started rotting out.Replacing those would’ve been an absolute disaster even for a slender,young man like you. BW has so many floor boxes under the deck-water needs to flow through channels that are routed around all the openings and it just can’t divert it all away efficiently. And that’s why I’d chose A Grady over a BW hands down.

I agree with you. I also think Grady White builds a better boat than Boston Whaler. Both are good boats but Grady is 1 step above Whaler in my opinion 😊
