2 жыл бұрынThis game was such a wild ride for a hardcore Metroid fan like myself. In my opinion, this is the best story in any Metroid game and ties the whole story together in an incredible way.
I can't wait to finish my 100% playthrough, and afterwards I'll be finally beginning my journey speedrunning the full game!

If you’re wondering about the ending picture, there’s several art pieces for different games you can get. You got the zero mission one, there’s also ones for samus returns, super Metroid, other M, fusion, and this game.

If you remember correctly, Adam said that the X can retain memories and knowledge from the creatures that serve as hosts for them, which is why I believe that the X parasite that took Quiet Robe came to help Samus at the end.

Also Adam did said the thotha genes in samus is what initially slowed her transformation in fusion. So it makes me think an X crompeised of mostly thotha genes could possibly give samus some control back. We don’t know if this removed all the Metroid dna from her or not. It might’ve simply dialed back how much Metroid she is for now.

The X had Quiet Robe's memories, but also copies of their genes: so the ability to control the metroids, as Jake said. I think it's a bit deeper than that though. The SA-X in Fusion sacrificed itself because it recognised a greater threat to its existence: the Omega Metroid. The ultimate form of its only predator. The only way to kill it was to give Samus her full powers back, including the ice beam. The X here sacrificed itself because it recognised that it was the only way to ensure that Samus didn't iradicate everything in existence: including the X. It was looking out for itself, and to me implies that there are more X in the galaxy.

When I first got to Raven Beak, i had the HARDEST time with him! I even looked up strats for how to beat him... But then, one Tuesday evening after I got home from work, I picked it back up, and just breezed through his bird ass! After 4 days of trying, I finally beat Metroid Dread. And now I've started two new playthroughs. Lol... One of which is for Twitch

Dude, the fact that they referenced the ZERO MISSION MANGA is INCREDIBLE!! Mercury Steam must’ve dived so deeply into the lore for this game’s sake- they referenced almost every story in the series in some way! Heck, I even think they referenced AM2R! I was so astonished by the sheer number of little details woven throughout the game. They’re a huge part of why I loved this game so much!

Even though this is my first Metroid, I'm glad I've played it first. Now gonna play other Metroids as prequels to this. Happy to see a hardcore fan's reaction to this game. I imagine it is several times more than how I feel about this game.

As someone who just recently played all mainline Metroid games and made sure to read the 2-volume manga first, that twist before the final boss battle was so very satisfying to me. God I love this franchise so much now, and I can't wait for Nintendo to release Primes 2 & 3, and heck even Other M hopefully for the Switch.

I think when Quiet Robe X fused with Samus, she got the genes from that X, Thoha genes, which suppressed the rampaging Metroid genes.

Just realizing now, at 28:53, Samus' gesture towards her left hand is a book-end to the beginning of the game, after she awakes and looks at the same hand.

With the ending my only hope is that that ability to absorb stuff is not gonna be part of the "hey recover your abilities again" list XD like imagine them trying to make that epic over and over, like I expect to have a lesser version but I don't want it to be "okay final boss time, now you have the power fully again" as the new status quo because it would get boring

Honestly, I think (or at least hope) that this grab becomes part of the Melee Counter feature in the future. It would make sense imo.

@@Nouxatar Yo imagine if they make it like you counter and hit the button again to lunge at the enemy to absorb life or just shoot them for missiles and other resources

@@BaconNuke honestly that's such a good design You get the decision when you parry by either following it up with a slow but gradual drain to get life back, or you get the opportunity to do more damage by shooting, that's some good stuff

Raven Beak has to be one of the Best Villains. Also one of the most memorable and and Awesome final boss.

I wish they would have kept her in the Metroid suit and that was her default suit moving forward and instead of powering up it’s actually about getting depowered cuz samus is to much of a threat

Quiet Robe's personality merged with the X that infected him, and willingly gave its Thomas genes to help supress/control her Metroid DNA

@@franktheprank7336 To be honest, 5x haha. (1) Her biological father died stopping the Space Pirate attack. (2) Gray Voice, played a dangerous gamble and killed by Ridley. (3) Old Bird, .....we still don't know... (4) Adam, died in events of Metroid Other M. (5)Raven Beak just brutalized by Samus. Safe to put Raven Beak in the "he may have been your Father, girl. But he whaddn't yo Daddy." Old Bird, is the only one of her 5 dads we don't know if alive/dead? lol.
