I know you said you don't ride moto so you don't need tear offs but, I would look into running one or two tear offs just to protect your lenses and the investment you make in these goggles. Great review and video!

Honestly, this is probably great advice and a great way to save money. Especially when trail riding in the mountains where lenses get destroyed by branches, rocks, and everything in between. Thank you for the input and feedback!

thanks for the insight on the Klim. imo visibility is huge. definitely overkill for my usecase as an escooter rider (I use my scooter instead of a car) but seeing as I'm around cars all the time I figured I'd better pony up for motorbike kit instead of bicycle kit. I have a helmet coming in and I'm not sure if I'd get the Klims or the Havocs. the Havocs with their interchangeable lenses is so huge being able to swap clear for tinted depending on conditions, but clear visibility is also super important

They all have pro’s and con’s for sure. The havocs are really convenient for that reason. The Klim goggles might be overkill for your case, and I’d like at the EKS lucid and Havoc Infinity as solid options. The Havocs would be great if you are changing the lenses often!

I’m going to give the EKS GOX a try. I found I don’t like outriggers for forest riding as the seal is too good and you fog up easier. I’ve used the 6.5s, Oakley Airbrake, Scott Prospect and Armegas. I’m currently using the Leatt 4.5 since the lenses for 4.5, 5.5 and 6.5 work in any model. The Bronze ultra contrast is my favorite. It’s just slightly tinted versus the clear lens and works good in the patchy forest light. I do find the frame size is a little narrow left to right. Hoping the GOX will be a little wider. 😀👍

I think there’s definitely a balance of cost to performance worth considering. The EKS goggles provide a great product for the money when you can find them sub $80. That’s an interesting perspective about the outriggers as well, something worth considering for others in your position. Thanks for the feedback! Let me know how you like those GOX’s 👍🏻

I appreciate your recommendation of Bronze. I wanted to try another lens for sunny woods riding but was unsure of one that wouldn't block out too much light. Have you tried any of the other Leatt lenses besides clear and bronze?

@@AdamZSG Hi. The one I am using is the Bronze Ultra Contrast. There is also one called Iriz Bronze that looks more like a mirrored lens. That is the wrong one. The ultra contrast is the correct one. I have also tried yellow. I like that sometimes if it’s overcast and pretty dark in the forest. The Leatts are the favorite goggle I’ve used so far, and I think the best lens options. But I’m always looking.

How do you guys combat the fog in cooler climates. Was riding in the woods the other day and it started raining. Was basically riding blind

I’d love to get some feedback for solutions on this as well. When it rains, or there’s freezing fog and cold temps, it definitely doesn’t seem like there’s any “technology” thats keeping my goggles from fogging up either.

I don’t wear glasses, but I believe there’s a couple that market themselves as compatible. I wear the Bell MX9 adventure for longer ADV type rides, and the Leatt 4.5 for mostly offroad riding. Both are excellent lids.

Which Klim lens do you recommend for every day riding? For sun, shade, dual sport, adventure, off road/trail and OHV park riding. Dont want to change lenses. Have been using Bell transition FF shield for years. Changes light to dark fast enough, but from dark to light takes awhile - 1 to 2 mins which seems normal for these type of lenses.

That’s a tough call. I like the lens included with the goggles, however they also have a dual sport helmet with a photo-chromatic lens which may suit your needs better? The tinted lens they include is really good for most of the riding I do.

@@ridemfast7625⁠this is the dark smoke silver mirror. No tear off posts, but they are anti scratch treated and I have not witnessed any scratches from roost or branches. The breathability is also excellent.

It depends on the terrain and duration. All of them would work, but I would think the Armega and Lucid would be your best bet if you need tear offs. If you’re riding different day times or lighting conditions, the quick magnetic lens swapping capability on the Havocs are sweet. If you don’t need tear offs, the Klim goggles are by far my favorite and most comfortable to wear for long periods.

Oakley makes a MTB version of the airbrake which has a mesh instead of a foam around the lens which don't fog up as quick if at all. I ride hares down in Florida, honestly find a goggle that fits your face well and offers a good roll off system.

Definitely the Klim’s! It’s subjective to face shape, but for me the Klim goggles are the least restrictive and by far the most breathable. The EKS lucid was a close second, and I think it’s because of how soft the foam is that goes over the bridge of your nose. However, in one of my other videos I took a nasty high side that threw me head first into the ground and the Armega’s cut the bridge of my nose from the impact, so maybe soft isn’t always a good thing 😅

This comparable review is a cut above. Many reviewers seem to be posers pretending to represent the real world end iser pov. That's not what's going on here. So, it's been over a decade since I rode my YZ426 and I recently got a smoking deal on a loaded husky 701. Now 100 pecent of my previous riding is off road and moto track. And my only issue with goggles jas always been you can't see shit because anti fog used to be a cruel joke. Keep in mind 90 percent of the time we're talking so cal desert. Now, do you think the Klim does as good a job as the 100%, or at least good enough? I'd love to loop in a ride sometime if a end up road triping to Sandpoint on my bike in the future. Which I would love to do, but I'm not sure my body can take it.

Thank you for the kind words. I have zero sponsors and owe allegiance to nobody. Just trying to help other guys like me spend their dollars and time wisely. That’s no joke. Some of the antifog lenses have been atrocious in the past. Between the top 3 goggles on this specific comparison, I don’t think you can go wrong. As bad as I wanted to justify the Klim, I have never had an issue with my 100% armegas. The EKS goggles are a crazy bargain when found on sale, and very comparable as well. I’d say the Klim likely outperforms them all, but whether it’s worth the premium price tag or not, I can’t say. For me, it’s not. I buy my goggles on sale and save my money for fuel and grocery bills these days 🤣

Not much you can do except utilize a goggle with good air flow. All of these do well in that regard. I do like ability to pop off the lenses and let my face breathe on those Havoc’s!

I’d really like to do a side by side with the Oakley airbrakes and klim edge. Very similar but the airbrakes are slightly bulkier. They are getting harder to find too with limited retailers. They are great goggles though!

I run the Oakley now but picked the klim in hope of not having any more foam degradation issues like I have with Oakley.
