Regarding Kriss Vector, the gun does have a recoil of course, what the mechanism is designed to reduce is muzzle climb. But it doesnt turn the gun into laser beam, just makes the muzzle being shaked around in multiple directions rather than up. You will still lose some ability to keep the gun on target just like you would with other 9mm SMGs with such an extreme rate of fire, it just doesnt come from vertical muzzle climb.
@anthonycochran6492
@anthonycochran6492 10 ай бұрын
I can confirm about AK recoil. The recoil shown is about correct for an AK-47, but the 74 fires the 5.45x39mm...which is far lighter. (more like the NATO 5.56x45mm.)

You saying you’ll go back and watch it again and take notes! It just shows a willingness to improve and learn. And I think with a game like with, as Jonathan calls it, low-polly-graphics I feel like it’s probably easier to go in and make changes to models or animations compared so some hyper-realistic games. Really hope they do a follow up in a while to cover some more of your weapons, and perhaps revisit some changes, who knows

I was a range safety officer for a bit, and I got to shoot all the full-autos (FA) a bit. In my experience: shooting the HK MP5 and the Kriss Vector one after the other, the difference in recoil was mind blowing, and not in the way you might first think. The MP5 was so pleasant to shoot, easy as hell to hold on target during full auto fire. The Vector's recoil, in both .45 ACP and 9mm, was DEVASTATING. At least I couldn't handle it. Couple more brief addendums, I shot a 9mm G18 at FA WITH an attached stock; incredible muzzle rise, not a fan. FA M4A1 with red dot, FUN, of course, not effective, however. And lastly, my favorite gun I've had the pleasure of firing FA, an M1928 Thompson in .45 ACP. Most controllable recoil I've experienced in a full auto. I could control that recoil while standing unsupported with little effort. Last fact and I'm done. The reason the Tommy Gun is so recoilless is in part because it is so damn heavy. Heavier than an M1 Garand, in fact, which fires a full power rifle cartridge.

the kriss vector can be balanced while being realistic. it doesnt have muzzle climb but it does have a lot of vibration when you fire. the barrel sort of rises a very little bit up then swings over to the right (if you are right handed, left else i would reckon?) and then pops down. its like a small 270 degree action on the barrel. you definitely feel recoil when you fire, it just does not climb much. however if you go full auto with it you do get a lot of vibration and the rounds basically disperse in a 270 degree pattern ignoring the diagonally down left. its easier to manage than most other pdw's but it surely isnt 100% effective as some people would like to believe. i dont think anyone outside kriss who fired that gun irl would claim its recoilless.

So excited to see the "soon to be shorter RPG fragmentation rounds" ❤😂 These devs are awesome its so fun to watch them riding this wave of success & immediately taking note of everything they can fix, improve, tweak and/or add to the game! I just wish I could mod it so I could hear a "Roblox Oof" every time a player gets downed

Also the Royal Armouries are in collaboration with Team17 for Marauders a.k.a Space Tarkov. The amount of rare and obsure variants of guns they have in that game is fairly impressive, but it's still rough and in early access. Marauders' direct collaboration with Royal Armouries is probably one of the main factors on why they've haven't done an episode on it yet; they're waiting for a more complete version so they can show off their very best efforts.

Funnily enough, the physical, on-rifle range finder would not be difficult to use if you know your dope (your ranging/drop+drift data) by heart. Shooting rifles like that is often fairly aimple to just open both of your eyes and shift focus between down-range and up close by using the different eyes. It'd be a fairly simple matter to check your range by just opening an eye, glancing at the display, and then refocus back into the scope. For the limitation of video games, I think how it shows up in the scope is perfectly fine, as it achives basically the same effect as what I described

Pretty cool, guys. It's not the kind of game I would generally play, but been hearing very good things about it. I saw a couple of firearms I have actually used and I am just as impressed as he was with the way you have managed to capture important details and silhouettes whilst still being low polygon count. Amazing stuff, and great attention to detail across the board; even his strongest criticisms were actually nitpicking, because you set the bar so high.

Hate the L86 ingame though, was a fine sniper as it is used in Real Life most of the times and especially in the playtest i loved it for being a shitty but damn accurate LMG and then the Game dropped and the L86 coulndt hit the broad side of a barn with a lot more recoil than the M4 which cant be real at all.

In case you guys are really worried about making sure everything is dead on accurate: Forgotten Weapons is a great youtube channel that covers all manners of firearms, along with Brandon Herrara, though he does more variety content involving firearms. (He also is designing the AK-50 which would be a really neat weapon to have in the game). GarandThumb I think covers Manual of Arms pretty often.

@TheAggravatedApe
@TheAggravatedApe 11 ай бұрын
@@2ScoopsPlz Do you mean aim assist? If so, it provided very little support when used and when I swapped to PC I noticed a drastic improvement in the game play as tracking with a mouse is far more useful than the general level aim assist, have you ever tried console aim assist for a year or two as it is hell in comparison. In my experience, I can crush console players who use aim assist rather easily, blaming aim assist really is the same excuse as "I'm lagging" or "they are hacking". It is rarely an issue for the vegans of the gaming community
@2ScoopsPlz
@2ScoopsPlz 11 ай бұрын
@@TheAggravatedApe I call it what it is, dev sanctioned aim bot. It depends dramatically on the game, and I only mean for forced cross platform ones. This is not up for debate as far as I'm concerned, there's already hard numbers showing the difference in accuracy between controller users and M&K users, and the difference is absolute staggering. The top, best of the best M&K players barely surpassed the average controller user. This data was for halo infinite however, but I guarantee it's equitable to titles like fortnite, apex and warzone as well, where controller users are extremely common. There is a reason many, many PC players for those games plug in a controller, and I promise you it isn't for comfort.

@TheAggravatedApe
@TheAggravatedApe 11 ай бұрын
@@2ScoopsPlz My main use comes from warzone 1, apex and fortnite but when you mentioned Halo it sort've clicked. Warzone was the most difficult due to the ungodly recoil, apex and fortnite were easier from the use. Halo on the other hand is made for the flow of controller gameplay with the tracking, lack of recoil, and better pacing, and the I found it extremely easy on controller which explains the aim assist domination, from quick reference I could only find data from halo but the data is explanatory but it is like how you wouldn’t use mouse and keyboard for a racing game. But controller players are typically destroyed when accuracy is needed, never could see a controller in a game reliant on accuracy unless using a shotgun. I feel battlebit, if the controller play is like battlefield and the aim assist is low it would be fairly balanced.
