The fact is that, they were indeed forgotten by many, the Great War as a whole is forgotten. This cutscene is telling us to remember the fallen, of World War 1, The Great War, the War To End All Wars, the most influential war in human history.
@jacobabbott19493 жыл бұрын
All overshadowed by the sequel. Sad but this war is the best war to tell these kinds of story's. First time on a large scale people questioned the meaning of war and if it was honorable to send young men to their death. WW2 is so bundled up in good vs bad. The Holocaust, Soviets, fascism, 70 million deaths and patriotism that the true act of just death, destruction, and he'll on earth that is war was kinda forgotten. Not in WW1 tho. That is what makes this all the more powerful.
@Jay_Mac17753 жыл бұрын
I personally love WW1 way more than ww2 because in my opinion this was truly when a lot of countries they’re innocence and sent the common man to die for nothing and at first most thought the war would be at most a year and were happy to go then the sound of a machine gun happened .

What about we drink that beer? I finished the game a long time ago but this is just the best game ending I've ever seen! Those games that make you go through a bloodbath and in the end remembered that there is no good or bad side in a war. It's just countless man and woman who fought against strangers that they had nothing against and knew nothing about for people that hate each other but don't kill themselves... Think we need a few more games like these and not just endless killing sprees with no reason and no plot at all

41 Million families were impacted by WW1. I have no idea why but these sentences impacted me the most. "History only remembers 1 in a thousand of us, and the future will be filled with stories of who we were and what we did, how we lived, how we *fought.* _And how we died._ So when the battle is over and the war is won. *They, Will. Remember. Us* But until that day comes. _We will stand... We will look death in the eye._ And we *WILL FIGHT!!* This combined with the music tears me up everytime.
