2:13 For me this was always a powerful scene to watch. All of the politics, the command, and history are gone in the moment. Just two people looking each other in the eyes to realize they are both human and both just want a good life and they don't want to die.
@Spwilson182 жыл бұрын
The beginning of the intro and the end give me chills. Because these brave men on both side de fought and died for what they believed and nobody won the war because after this there is a war in the mind. war changes a man. I may not be a solider or a veteran, but those who have faith and believe in god are his children. Me personally, if there was a way to save a man and turn his life around to Christ in warfare I would gladly choose that option, over killing him and trying to live with my self knowing I killed another brain washed man or women or even child. As far as I've learned from video games, movies, documentarys, and articles and storys, that war is unforgiving and he'll.

Ever heard about Garret Morgan? He invented the stoplight and the fire retardant mask saving countless lives in the same decade. Guess who wins the Nobel Prize? A white man who invented poisonous gas. And many soldiers did not receive financial support, the Harlem Hellfighters were volunteers and heroes. Those two soldiers... At first, their defensive instincts took over, and they raised their sights against another. But then, they continue to ponder among all their fallen comrades around each other. Everyone when they fought with, and everyone they killed. Most importantly, they looked into each other's eyes. They saw through the dogma of mankind's wrath. They asked themselves the existential question of the nature of consciousness: Is this what life is about? Is this why we live? We are both people. We don't have to fight... They don't have to fight... At the end of the day, it all comes down to poor decisions made my nations and its leaders to justify sending masses to the front lines against your fellow man, to settle petty differences and express the arrogance of supremacy. Those two soldiers, regardless of the endless scenarios in their mind or their future endeavors, in that moment, they defied the very nature of existence. They decided what only the wisest and the strongest are able to discern: We will not destroy ourselves. How long is it gonna take for the rest of humanity to get the goddamn message? I challenge you, mankind. Become greater, stronger, smarter. Don't cower to the vices of greed and power. Dare to defy.
