Yeah, this was such an awesome game. Hopefully there will come a similar game along some day.

​@@Low-TideI think the simple pick-up-and-play nature of BF1943 made players stick with the game for so long. No unlocks, no customization or any form of gimmicks. Just simple fun and a rock solid gameplay loop. I also liked the smaller scope of the game. I don't have much time for gaming, so BF1943 was a game I felt I could get good at. When I first started posting BF1943 videos I actually wanted to make analysis videos where I tried to analyze the maps and my gameplay in order to improve, but I ditched that plan after they announced the shutdown.

Sadly, they are not. I recorded this before the servers shut down (I made sure to have a large backlog of episodes before the shutdown, so that I could continue to post episodes).
