Glad you liked it! I'm actually already working on the next BF1943 video, but it will take a few months to get it ready as I only have time to work on them from time to time. No live action in the next one, though, but I might do another one with live action next summer if I get any good ideas. I have the costumes now, so I have to use them for something, heh.

Haha, I bet! They were so skilled! When I think of duos, the first players that pop into my mind are Za Bosu and Za Joi, since they so often played together. Both skilled players, especially Za Bosu. It was always a treat if I managed to get him.

Put the white dot on either rail and start glitching. Xbx folks could practice on the landing craft just off the airfield in the tutorial for laughs. You'll find the exact spot eventually

@@Battlefield1943-x2c Thanks, I'm glad I was able to reach my goal of 1000 episodes before the servers shut down. It wasn't a goal I had from the beginning, but during the summer of 2023 (when I had about 200-300 episodes recorded), I thought to myself that it would be cool if I would be able to reach 1000 episodes. It was quite a ride trying to reach that goal before the servers shut down, heh.

Battlefield 1943 player still love this game since EA shutdown servers. Battlefield V is better one in WWII shooter

I think us BF1943 players will always love and miss this game. BFV is definitely a strong game with a lot of skilled players, and I can totally see why players would prefer that game. But personally, I would always choose BF1943 if I had the choice. There was something special about that game that made people continue to play it until the end.

@@LeotseilGaming Oh man, I'm shocked to hear that! I never played BFV, just kept playing 1 instead but it seems similar-ish. The maps, musical score and weapons are unreal in BF1. I also really like flying and the planes are a ton of fun. Lots of people still play, I highly recommend you try it. My first FPS ever I'd say!

@@LeotseilGaming For me, the most challenging players to face were egc304, Combat Otter (friend), and BARTTIE. These were the toughest pilots that I ever faced in 43. My name was SpikeDino and I also mainly flew in this game. It's funny, I keep looking for myself in your videos but somehow we never seemed to cross paths. I do vaguely recall your name though so hopefully I'll pop up soon. I love what you're doing though, keep the memory of 43 alive!

@@battlefieldplays2754 I'm not sure if I ever played against BARTTIE, but I definitely played against egc304 and Combat Otter and they are indeed extremely skilled players. I only played against Combat Otter once, but I remember that match vividly. It was on Iwo Jima with not a lot of players on each team. He and Ike Hill was on the same team and I got totally crushed, hehe. That match will be in an episode in the late 400s, which means it will go live some time in 2026. Take a look at episode 49. The game has existed for 14 years. There seems to be different generations of players to have come and gone. I quit back in 2013. At that time everyone was good and the game devolved into spawn camping. The match was always decided in the first two minutes. I was Chief_Ten-Beers.

Did you ever get back into the game before the servers shut down? I started playing the game in 2009 when it first came out (on PS3), and played casually for a few years until I also stopped playing (mostly because I didn't have much time for gaming at the time). Got back into the back in late 2022 (on Xbox this time) and was lucky to get one last year before the servers shut down.

I love this little corner of the internet where the game is still "alive". I never played 1943 but I miss that era of BF. I used to play a lot of battlefield heroes which came out in the same year.

I never tried Heroes, but it looks interesting. Quite different from any other battlefield game. You could actually say the same about BF1943. There has never been a game since that captures the same experience (for me at least). Btw, there is still 873 more episodes to go, so you will find me in this corner for a while, heh.

@@Low-TideI think the simple pick-up-and-play nature of BF1943 made players stick with the game for so long. No unlocks, no customization or any form of gimmicks. Just simple fun and a rock solid gameplay loop. I also liked the smaller scope of the game. I don't have much time for gaming, so BF1943 was a game I felt I could get good at. When I first started posting BF1943 videos I actually wanted to make analysis videos where I tried to analyze the maps and my gameplay in order to improve, but I ditched that plan after they announced the shutdown.

Yes, this footage is actually about a year old. I recorded a ton of episodes before the servers shut down in early December of last year, so that I could continue to post BF1943 videos long after the shutdown.

@@LookHereMars In hindsight I probably should have had some sort of intro to make it clear the footage was recorded before the shutdown as I knew at the time of recording that the video would be posted after the shutdown. Never occurred to me at the time. Community driven servers would have been sweet. If only they hadn't cancelled the PC port back in the day. Then we would probably have been able to play on community servers on PC as soon as (or even before) the official servers shut down.

It was probably the WW2 theme that drew me towards BFV (being able to run around with the M1 Garand once more). In addition, I was hearing so many players complaining about 2042, so it seemed natural to try out BFV instead. Have you tried 2042? If so, how do you find it?

@@LeotseilGaming I've tried all of them and I find them all hard to get into. In 2042, I feel like I have more of a chance of competing. I think everyone still playing BF5 knows every inch of the map. I can't stay alive for more than a few seconds. 😂

@@sappyjohnson You and me both, hehe. I find it so difficult identifying the enemies much of the time, which often gets me killed. In addition, I'm so used to the BF1943 aiming, so I often end up waiving the gun around like crazy when trying to aim in BFV, heh. Sigh, I just want BF1943 back... Maybe I'll give 2042 a try to see if I do better there. Won't be in the near future, though, as I'm currently working on finishing a BF1943 video that I've been working on for a while (something different than the ordinary episodes). Seems I just can't stay away from BF1943, heh.

Unfortunately, I do not. When I first started making videos for the channel, I did actually consider making videos from Bad Company 2 as well, as that was also a game I played back in the day. However, after EA announced the shutdown, I decided to stick solely with BF1943 as that was my favorite by far and I wanted to get as much as I could out of the game. If you enjoy Bad Company 2 clips, you might enjoy the "Battlefield Xbox Clubs" channel. He posts highlight clips from both Bad Company 1, 2 and BF1943 that he recorded before the shutdown.
