@@legate4608 The name 1944 would just be a title, not the actual date of the game. 1942 for example, had maps set in 1940, 1941, 1943, 1944, and 1945... actually, only a handful of maps were actually set in 1942, the rest were either before or after.

@@kingdisco9652 We are talking about Battlefield here, it's not like the vast differences between the real life ships would even matter. I mean, BF1942 managed to find a way to balance the M10 with the Tiger 1 and the M4A3 Sherman with the Panzer IV E... If those tanks have equal chances fighting each other, then the Yamato would have a chance against the Iowa, just saying.

This Battlefield Theme it's meaning a lot for old battlefield community,And the memories with this theme sound was really lovely moments,i hope EA remake Battlefield 1943 for the pc,ps4,xbox one with better graphics i know it well be the best game for more 5 years and up :)

Battlefield 1942, my favorite war game. EA will never be able to produce a better game, that includes BF4. Although something that would be interesting is if they reproduced the exact same game. Same campaign type, same time period, same weapons, same everything. EXCEPT with the graphics of BF4, the physics, and the realism. And there you go guys, the ultimate war game.

I bought this game as a kind of joke (tome good fps's weren't under $15, which this one was),however it ended up being one of my most favorite fps' of all time and by far best battlefield game. game was so good it didn't even need a campaign :)

Battlefield 1942, cod 2 big red one and medal of honor frontline were my top 3 ww2 games each with epic soundtracks. Developers just don't have the heart they used to, i'd rather a game every 5 years that blows my mind away than a shitty game ever year that makes me want to blow my mind out. Just my two cents

I remember when i was about 6 i had a xbox 360 and on it was battlefield 1943 and minecraft. One time i decided i would play 1943 and back then i did not know about fps games also i didnt even know what 1943 meant i thought it was a random number. And when i played it it was amazing. I only played online and the thing that was best for me was that you could drive the jeeps and the graphics back then. Then 2 years later (2014) the game would not log in. But the point is this game introduced me to my new favourite games such as halo. This game is awesome

Oh my god. 1943. i had so much fun at coral sea with my good friend. Aha i can still rember the Laugher of a zero ramming into the carrier and when i put TNT on my His zero and we got a kill and yet my friend survived XD good times.

THX for mentioning that BF and COD series are not to compare with each other. Its like u said two very different kind of games. MW2 was cool and i played it up to the BF3Beta. For me personally the Battlefield games are the more interesting style of gaming. I played the series from 1999 on when codename eagle was released. Respect to all COD players for keeping their game series in the high billboard ranks and greats to all BF player. Keep on gaming guys
