Bf3 and bf4 did essentially the same thing with dog tags though

@@onemorescout i agree that some are really bad, but i like the tedious challenges that have a challenge to them, could be as basic as 1000 kills whilst using a certain attachement for example

@@lobaandrade7172 my concern is they are getting more and more arcade shooter every release. The TTK increases and the character movement is very COD like. Portal will be great in finding your own gameplay as you can change movement speed, gadget availability and I think I heard something about jump height but not sure. No doubt I will have many, many hours on the core game but with Insurgency sandstorm coming to console.. idk anymore lol

@@eagleone5456 I’ve had sandstorm on PC since release (December 2018) with almost 300hrs and let me tell you, Sandstorm doesn’t have the amount of content to replace Battlefield. And wtf are you on about saying that battlefield is cod-like now? The distinction has never been further and it’s not fair to compare the two since they cater to different audiences

@@lobaandrade7172 i dont need a large amount of content to be happy with a game. 300 hrs is a pretty solid number so sounds like you've had fun with it. I still play the stand alone and with mod support, that argument might not hold up. As for BF and CoD becoming more like each other, simply look at character movement and the weapon customization. Red dots in wwIi and now they have grappling hooks and ziplines connecting buildings.

@@eagleone5456 the movement hasn’t changed since Battlefield 1 (with the addition of sliding and climbing) and you know we’ve had zip-lines and grappling hooks since Battlefield Hardline. Red dots in ww2 have been around since World at War in 2008 so that’s a fruitless argument to make. They’re both fps games set in similar time periods over many many games, it’s impossible not to have overlap. BFBC2, BF3, and BF4 all have same guns/movement/gadgets as the modern warfare games but people still call those BF games the best. God it’s like you people *want* to hate the game because you’re so jaded after BFV (which wasn’t bad at all just overhated). But honestly I’ll be happy to not have your negativity ruin the game so do as you please

If I remember correctly getting from level 139 to 140 in BF4 took as much time as getting from level 1 to 50, so don’t worry the grind will definitely still be there.

@@onemorescout yea obviously i just mean how much different its gonna scale. in bf3 it took me around 350 hours without trying to get max lvl ind bf4 like 500 hours i believe. i mean i dont care how long its gonna take ill just play the game if i enjoy it :D

They posted a briefing showing a red and black camo on two different guns and some vehicles. It's the "mastery camo" and looks pretty slick. Will be other camos a dev on reddit said and the camo applies tk all parts of the weapon not just the receiver

Lmao. Aside from not much communication the last few weeks, the marketing has actually been fantastic this time around, especially compared to BF5.

"The marketing was terrible" meanwhile the Battlefield community is going nuts, the hypetrain for the new Battlefield is as big as it was when the Battlefield 1 trailer rolled, probably even more. Even if the game flops hard: The marketing team did an excellent job getting everyone back onboard which is very impressive considering the irreparable damage Battlefield 5 did with its "marketing"

@@1Chasg Last few weeks? the communication has been terrible for many months. The gameplay trailer came out a little over 3 months ago and we were expecting some gameplay and more info shortly after, but DICE has been radio silent since then. Even to this very day, we don't know much about the game and the beta is literally next week.
