I think you're forgetting that this is a video game, and not real life. In BF4, they are LMGs because they are classified by the developers as LMGs. If DICE classified them as SMGs or PDWs and squirt guns, then that's what they would be when talking about the game.

I can see how you would think that but it comes with its own disadvantages. For example, you cant move at all without picking it up and putting it down. But yeah, it doesn't make much sense that it reduces spread.

I loved the M60E4 with a bipod in BF3 on Noshahr Canals TDM. I would camp behind the train, deploy and just laserbeam people all across the map. So many ragequits :D

My issue with it is that like all Heavy MGs, it has a 100-round belt.

M240B, replaced the M60. for a good reason. m240b lighter has higher rate of fire and lower recoil. uses the same caliber. which would you pick.

I agree, you could do about everything on this map. But to be honest after seeing how Dice LA made Second Assault TDM and Domination, I don't mind it. The maps are almost the size of conquest on Dom and TDM.

I disagree wholeheartedly. I was forced to play so many games on Canals because of the rent-a-server update that the small amount of interest I had in the map quickly went away. It's popular mostly because it's conducive to running around with a shotgun or quick rate of fire gun and isn't very camper-friendly. That being said, I wound up camping in a corner and skirting around the very edges of the map with a g3 in order to avoid dying every 5 seconds. I suppose it may not be so bad if they avoid rent-a-servers again, but I can't stand to play this map any more after BF3.

***** Not camp frindly? Obviously you never tried sitting on train tracks, numerous head glitches or on the crane. And it does by no means force you to use high rate of fire guns, I mastered over half of all primary weapons on that map alone and got well over 5000 Sniper kills on it.

Fabian Ehleben The reason why lvlcap doesn't play hardcore is beacause it ruins the weapon balance. Damage models don't really mean anything in there. But I'm not saying hardcore is not fun ! I really enjoy it for playing guns that I like but that have terrible stats :p

Artylight34 The other reason being that it is much easier to get kill streaks going on normal mode servers and makes for much more entertaining videos. lvlcap did a hardcore video once but he sucked at it and had to go hide in a tank to get kills :)

DonPimpNutz I was like that, going from Normal to Hardcore was a challenge but i enjoy HC a lot more then Normal. And the Sand storm... really.. really.. screws you over in hardcore, it more of a "is that a target, am i seeing that right? nope! its a brick!" then turn the corner and die to thee said brick.

Yeah, i like the L85A2 and the LSAT barebone. also the shotguns doesnt need any "upgrade" parts to make them better. I dont say i play only with barebone weapons, but i like some of them without anything :)

Call me picky, but I don't use guns that I find ugly. My number one priority is how the gun looks to me. I use some guns without any attachments because it looks natural. It doesn't matter though, I barely fight the enemy directly for my gun to matter.

RPSGCC733 This is true! But it also plays a role on how it looks on screen, how its angeled x or y axis, is it sligthly off of what your want it to be, it can make it "unplayable" for some. And offcourse how much space it takes of the screen. There is alot that plays in how the gun plays out for each and one of us. Allthough, there is alot of "mainstream" people, that picks a weapon because everybody else is playing with it, and might not know that there is a better gun for their personal preference :)

This is how you run this gun especially if you want to have a higher powered optic. I hunted snipers like it was nobodies business in BF3 with nothing more than a bipod/thermal/ExtMag M60 and a M1911 combo and I can't see why I can't do the same in BF4.

I Just like the design of this weapon this gun looks like a beast but i think its not worth at all, the rate of fire is very low, honestly I prefer a m249.

Joao Amancio well, both weapons cover different niches, the M249 is more for closer range combat, engaging multiple enemies; the M60 is for mid. to long range engaging one or two enemies at the time.

It wouldn't be an M-60 if it had a 200 round capacity.

I know this isn't your only issue with it, but I will say that run and gun is probably far from the way you want to use the M60, it's more of an objective locker than a mover and a pusher, at least in my experience, that is.

It's all flavor. Went 30+ and 5 a couple of rounds of domination with this gun. Holo,muzzle break, stubby, laser sight.

yeah, but Metro is so fun in TDM. i remember 1000 tickets servers for it on BF3 when console actually had player held servers. and besides, the maps end to quickly across the game. obliteration is boring because it doesn't last, just as things get interesting in conquest we run out of tickets, the attackers run out of tickets just at the last bomb. i want to have some freedom but DICE really gimped last gen in that respect and i believe current gen as well to make PC better...

did u fire first then aimed down? because there is this glitch that uses ur hipfiring accuracy when firing and aiming down after firing.

Make sure you aren't moving at all? LMGs suffer greatly while moving but many players, especially those acclimated to ARs are used to side strafing while firing. When firing an LMG make sure you're stationary.

The 7.62 mm LMGs all start to suffer from rather violent horizontal swaying (the word "recoil" doesn't quite cover it) back and forth once you spit out the 5th or 6th round. Personally I was never able to make them work until I started firing in bursts of *no more than* 3 shots at a time. Then I started pounding in faces with them.

Its probably because you fire it on the move. The accuracy of any lmg will be ass if you try and fire it on the move. My advice, put a bipod on the lmg, find a nice location over looking the enemies, mound it and then you will see how significantly more accurate they are.

The Gulf of Oman is quite a bit narrower.

it can definitely play it, but you wont be able to max out the settings and get a stable fps count. I'm assuming a GTX 765M is somewhat equivalent to a 760. If not, do more research.

You're perfectly fine, but remember to adjust your graphics settings. MSI's run on adaptive graphics meaning that it juggles graphics power between your actual card and the integrated. If you set it so that the nvidia is the main graphics card, you should be perfectly fine. you should be running 60 at medium graphics.

Do yourself a favor.. Don't get a laptop, Less performance, Very little customization, Close to no overclocking capability, And costs more. Otherwise, Yes. You'll be able to run it low-high, I'd probably say medium smoothly

It sounds very similar to the BF3 version, so not too much of a difference for people who played the M60 on that game as well. BC2 imo still had some of the best sounding guns ever, the M60 in BC2 sounded awesome (as did the AN94).

Dimitri Barnes It's all because the damn early release. If it released, per say, in April of this year, how much better would the game have been? Exactly. It's not like BF3 had the best launch ever either, I'm pretty sure there was a sound patch in BF3 that upped the quality. Although in BF3, I felt as if every gun in the game had a silencer on it, because everything sounded so suppressed. Different tastes to different people, I guess. Although I am waay better at BF3 than BF4. And my favorite BF would have to be the original BFBC, because the game was aimed at FUN. And people laughed, and cried because friendly fire was always on and you could never turn it off. And snipers took a ton of shots to kill someone, and the graphics looked great for a 2008 game. So yep, each person to their own.

LMGs are only terribad if you dont know how to use them properly. Tap fire my friend tap fire. 2 or 3 round bursts and they are just as good as any other class of weapons.

Hfajardo97 It is a logical solution.Most people will say that. But at the end everyone just likes easy kills.Thats why clusterfuck maps are that popular. no spotting would make the map hard to play.Even harder.

That's because he constantly spots people before shooting at them just in case he doesn't kill them his team mates can see the enemy and help kill him. Most good players will always spot first and then shoot.

No, games are about being fun. Who cares if the military doesn't use it. If it is a fun weapon, keep it in the game. If this annoys you then stop playing games and join the military. This weapon is great, especially in BF4.

M60 weapon is very popular in pretty much every (modern) shooters. It even exists in Korean F2Ps.

It's not as if the M60 is the only weapon in BF4 that defies realism in terms of use in modern militaries. Besides, for what it's worth, the current rendition of the M60 is the Mk 43 Mod 0.

The M60-E4 is still used in today's military. Mostly by special forces units and certain battalions that get the authorization to use them. The M240B isn't being used all that much either. These days it's mostly the M249 that is being used by a majority of the military.
