I aware I took my artistic license from the fact that it came from the actual galil which was my father's issued rifle while serving in the IDF Nahal brigade. Mitch Blythe you wouldnt believe how many people use this gun on a TDM server . 30 men, at least 20 people use it. Sure, SAR has lower recoil, but it is bad at CQB, medium range, or Famas - beast CQB, terrible at everything. He also said that this gun's stats combine make it the best gun. Best guns do not necessary have the best stats, but have the best combination of stats, make the best gun. Ex the A-91 - high Hip fire accuracy, decent ammo count, decent reload speed, but it is still a terrible gun

Low rate of fire, means you will get stomped out by a experienced player with a higher rate of fire weapon. AK5C is really fun and easy to use, but not the gun for the competitive player.

best Carbine in my opinion is the AUK-12. Highest rate of fire of all Carbines.

Yeah, I also tried it yesterday, and wasn't impressed at all. I guess the AEK and FAMAS are king close range, SAR long range and the allround weapon is the M416!

Teunis Dokter I'm still finding the SCAR and FAMAS are my ARs of choice. SCAR actually has higher DPS than the ACE 23 - coupled with fast reload, the SCAR is actually an excellent CQC weapon if your shot is decent.

I have to agree with the ak5c buff, I run it on my engineer and haven't bothered opening other weapon loadouts on him as I play for the vehicle/anti-vehicle play, and when in combat I noticed I was getting kills that were not possible before, even at medium to medium-long range.

they are almost identical in everything but horizontal recoil, (where the M416 has more severe right recoil) and reload times where the m416 beats it by a good margin (.55sec faster for short and .7 sec faster for long).

I haven't tried it yet too , but I ' m playing with MX4 and its really good gun.

Ah. I like the M240B but I see it a lot. I don't really snipe unless I have to, but it's the L96A1 I'm often killed with when I'm sniped. I don't see the M4 much at all so I'll give you that one. I don't see the L85A2 too often, but often enough. What about engineer weapons? I like using the weapons that people can't control well like the Famas, AEK, ACE 52. For some reason though, I haven't gotten a hang of the changes they've made to the LMGs.

aj981981 As far as PDW's i would have to lean towards the UMP-45, seem's like a no brainer given the damage but surprisingly few people use it, they instead tend to opt for the MP7 or MX4. And i also frequently use the M39 EMR as well for the DMR category. The only lmg's i ever seem to see are the MG4 and M249, and the only sniper rifles i seem to see are the CS-LR4 and SRR-61, i have occasionally run across someone using the L96 but not too often.

I guess it all depends on player levels and gametype choices. The UMP-45 is one of my favorite PDWs. I agree with LevelCap that the DMRs are all but useless so I don't really use them unless I have to or I want a challenge.

it is, that gun is one of the best gun in the game, but I prefer the HK416 (M416) mainly because i have been using that gun in battlefield 3.

I have this on PS4 and I enjoy it a lot. I don't have the ACE 23, but I'm trying to work my way towards it. I just need 46 more medkit ribbons and maybe 100 assault rifle kills and then I'll finally get it. The assault rifle kills are easy, but for the medkits, I think games like Rush, Obliteration, and Conquest I think are good for them.

I have it now, as well as multiple attachments for it, guess I wasn't that keen on getting it at the time

I think the reason for it is because you have to pretty much complete the assault class to get the gun. It's got pretty good stats yes but it's still gonna suck in the hands of eh players. As for the buff, maybe they felt you weren't getting enough bang for your buck after you've completed the assault class. I don't think it's overpowered, but I do agree that it's got a bit of an edge.

Thing is these "all round weapons" will go toe to toe with just about any other weapon (even the niche weapons) and outclass them in the other area's. It doesn't really happen that you only shoot in situations where a niche weapon rules. Sure in super close combat a FAMAS might beat your ACE 23 assuming you're equally skilled; but that FAMAS will be totally outclassed if ranges get a little bit larger, which happens even on CQB slugfests like Operation Locker. If you prefer niche weapons, by all means (I personally quite like niche weapons too); but stats, weapon usage, looking at what the top players in the world use and last but not least past experience from games like BF3; simply show that "all round weapons" reign supreme in these type of games. And the ACE 23 is likely the best all round weapon.

If you peek down a hall way the first guy you see is a guaranteed kill if you consider yourself at least average skill level. Because you can see the guy and shoot him, but on his screen you haven't even rounded the corner yet. However i stray away from weapons like this because i get more satisfaction in over coming hard recoil, and low fire rate so i can kill someone based on the fact i am more skilled, not because i am using some MLG spray cannon like the ACE-23.

He did encourage variance and as already pointed out other weapons will perform better at their respective ranges. But yes I agree with using a niche weapon to it's best strengths.

L85A2 is a long range weapon... The best assault rifle at close range is the AUG or the FAMAS with the AEK. The ACE 23 is the best allrounder. My preferable weapons is SCAR for the a bit allrounder but also some long range engagement over close quarter. The M416 for allrounder total and the Famas for close quarters.

The AUG is one of the best weapons for higher ranges, because of its lower firerate and its maximum distance and muzzle velocity. Famas and AEK are definitly for cqb thats true but L85A2 is for close ranges too. But u must play tactical beacuase of its long reload time. M416 and ACE 23 are thes best allrounder of the ASSAULT RIFLES and the Scar is pretty good for close ranges and for long ranges too.

***** I found the AUG for medium range in rush best. Went with zero deaths using it in rush a lot of times with 20 killstreak. I wrote wrong when I meant the AUG for close range, it's usable there but it will get totally outdamaged by other weapons. I can't see why the L85A2 is close range? If you ask any youtuber, or just any other player, they will say that it's long range engagement. The scar is only good in close range because of the 3 shot kills.

Kinda true but it truly ,afters about the amount of gun powder grain inside the casing (or what ever material they use now) this is something they really do not take into consideration because it is a video game, take the M1014 semi auto shotgun, if you've shot it in real life the weapon doesn't cycle properly if the grain is low in the shell but if it has a "heavy" load the weapon cycles fine, if you look at some weapons in bf4 that use the 5.56mm round but are nato or like the Chinese weapons with a different manufacuer of the bullet might have a different grain level and because of this the bullet can either be faster or slower due to this, travel time and flight speed of the bullet are effected by the weight but really not the speed of the bullet.

***** Best load out on AEK is now this. Angled Foregrip + RDS/HOLO (whatever you prefer for a 1x sight) + Muzzle Brake + Laser Sight. Tap fire it 3-6 rounds for best effect. And up close it doesn't matter what grip you have on it when spraying at 900rpm, hence the laser sight.
